The Callisto Protocol: Performance Preview



Striking Distance Studios have come out swinging for the top with its first Horror Survival game in The Callisto Protocol. A multi-platform custom Unreal Engine 4.27 title, The Callisto Protocol release is set to land on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One and PC in December 2022.

The technology and quality on offer was very impressive. This preview, aided by an interview with the developer, gives us a deeper insight into what we can expect from the Dead of Space come December.

  1. Absolutely no commentary with regards to frame rate, resolutions, etc. just a recap of whatever we could already see with our own eyes from the few already released trailers.

    Game looks great, just kind of a pointless video.

  2. The eyes in this are easily the best I've ever seen. The one time the eyes look alive. Even on the best looking games like Horizon on ps5, the eyes look dead but this is really well done here

  3. Worth taking a look at the EQ you're using on Michael's voice. He's making my subwoofer push a LOT, more than it should be for how it's calibrated (I'm a mix engineer, my setup is calibrated well.)

  4. Buy this game instead of the dead space remake since EA is known to miss up every game they release with micro transactions…The Callisto Protocol looks exactly what dead space 4 should have been shame on you EA.
