  1. This one reminds me a little bit of another film called Bad Influence (1990) with James Spader and Rob Lowe but the only difference is the other one was not a comedy it was more dark mystery suspense thriller

  6. Love the reaction and especially since not many have reviewed this gem. I was in my late teens when this dropped and got to see it in theaters. As people said, critics and audiences were looking for ‘Ace Ventura’ Carrey and weren’t ready for something darker. I got it from the jump and love that it’s gained traction post theater release on vid/dvd. To see, yet, another side of Carrey’s brilliance, you should review Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. It’s a masterpiece and my favorite Carrey flick.
