Your cobble stones fit perfect you must have measured im thinking you have to make some skinny stones when you run out of room when you get to the edge
I think I would probably use a torch to burn off the plastic bags and later, use some grout and sealer.

I personally find painting idea very good but ziploc method… if you have up to 2square meters it is worth an effort but on the larger scale..

brilliant? I wouldn't say this is brilliance. you did a good job. GOOD JOB BUDDY. this is not brilliant though, brilliance would've been hiring a professional who actually knows what polymeric sand and a base is. this will absolutely fail in the coming years and the title should be "when the client says I'll just do it myself" yeahhhhhhhh do that and I'll see you next year with a higher price because I have to undo whatever this was.
