Overview: Melinda (Jennifer Love Hewitt) has a mysterious ability to communicate with ghosts, who often come to her for help. Most of the ghosts come to the afterlife because they have unfinished wishes that prevent them from gaining life again, and Melinda travels between life and death to help them while exploring the true meaning of life and death. The one who knows the truth, besides her husband Jim (David Conrad), is Delia (Camryn Manheim), Melinda’s partner in the antique store. Rick (Jay Mohr), a professor at the University of Humanities and History who likes to study paranormal phenomena, can’t see ghosts but can hear their voices, and because of this, he often helps Melinda explain many of the hints she sees ghosts give her.
