The Boondocks | The Potential of Troublemakers

I wonder who that mysterious, afro’d, soft speaking artist is? He should give art more often… maybe as a tv show host.

  1. Wow, how does my YouTube feed always know exactly when I've just finished watching an episode of a series so it can recommend me a 20-minute video analysis of that episode? Strange shit going on these days, I have to say. Straaange shit…

  2. Please do, “the passion of uncle ruckus” next. Do it for a philosophical examination of religion, for the criminal justice system that seems to have no sympathy for the people at the bottom of the socioeconomic ladder, do it for white Jesus.

  3. Yeah, this episode was a masterpiece for sure. I still remember the entire episode to this day. Sometimes I wish for boondocks to come back but I have to keep reminding myself that the writing would be very different.

  4. If I had a nickel for every time an adult cartoon show forgot one of their main characters had skills as an artist, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t alot but it’s weird that it happened twice.

  5. You're not wrong. I've binged watched the series multiple times and its the first time we get any indication of Riley and Huey's Mom and Dad being married or ever really having a loving relationship…so much so that the first time I saw it I thought it was actually Granddad and someone he married long ago … because of his genuine, emotional reaction (which was so out of the norm, I honestly think I'd expect something like that from Uncle Ruckus before I'd ever imagine it coming from Grandad!)
But thats why Aaron McGruder is a genius! His character development is raw and realistic!
