  1. I don't know, it's a decent story, but the ending leaves something to be desired, and there's way to many unanswered questions. Would've been better IMO, of they'd have been secret agents, American vs. some other country's intelligence agents. IDK, maybe not. Found myself wondering why she would remain at her shift after everything…

  2. Ok so there I was, no shit….

…on the WORST blind double date EVER, while stationed at my first duty station in eastern WA.

They were Mormon and my friend was part of their temple, and I’m…not. The entire time I got the “you’re the incarnation of everything evil” vibe from my date the entire time.

Dinner was nice though as we went to this mom and pop Mexican hole in the wall…the server must’ve gotten the vibe also because my carne asada was wrapped up into a burrito the size of a loaf of wonder bread…well that and I got free shots of mezcal accompanying my Singapore Slings…

We get to the movie theater downtown and try to decide on a movie. I avoided the Disney movie because I knew it’d be chock full of people-puppies, and Star Wars fans wanting to watch the new trailer…(yeah kinda dating myself and the incident with that, huh?)

They declined EVERY suggestion except the Disney film…and my heart sank when my head dropped…because I knew….(When I say my date was a skittish one, I mean they hid from the Disney level “jump scares”….)

We had some time before the movie started so we went for a walk.

I lagged a little behind enjoying a cigar I got from a British shoppette during one of my shorter termed deployments, when they went into a Starbucks.

I finished what I wanted and went in.

After half an hour of some bad noise I ended up ejected and subsequently banned from that Starbucks.

    Why?

All I asked for was “a large black coffee” and I got way too many questions about what I’d said.

….and that’s what I remember from my very first Starbucks experience.

I’m brewing some more hot bean juice presently, with some Snickers creamer and a gollup of bourbon.

    Gombeh!!!

  5. The small town girl is exponentially more likely to have shot a gun than the city dwellers, though. You know that, right? We have guns outside the human hives. It's normal.
