  2. potential reason why you might not want to smash the giant frozen Goljira:
smaller bodies can change their temperature much faster than larger bodies, so the smaller chunks would thaw much faster, and if Godzilla is a macrocolony of extremophiles that can regenerate from injuries, then imagine what would happen when a million Godzilla nuggets would do when they thaw out, especially when you see that humanoid chunks are trying to split off from the tail at time of freezing. this Godzilla is basically SCP-682. you can't actually kill it, only contain it.

  3. The meetings were put in as satire for how convoluted Japanese politics are and how politicians would rather save face at the expense of people's lives. The movie story parallels the Fukushima meltdown. Make sense now?

  4. not only is the intense pressure causing pain to shin's gills in form 2, but it is also a sort of cooling system for the big fishy. edit: i mean by that, the blood spilling out is not just the pressure, its also helping shin cool off.

  5. These meetings are boring, tedious, repetitive, and frustrating, because a large part of this movie is a satirical critique of the Japanese government, and how it handles natural disasters & the like. It exaggerates these aspects to underline how slow and borderline incompetent the government can be when it comes to these things.
It's boring as a western viewer, but a poignant critique when viewed through a Japanese lens.
I fully understand finding this aspect of the movie a bit frustrating, but it's important to keep that in mind.

  6. I mean, the way too many meetings are supposed to be a critique to the Japanese government for taking too long to take an action in an emergency situation, such as what happens in the Fukushima nuclear disaster

  7. if Godzilla met The Thing. They biomechanics part really interested me because that was what I used to say, he's too big, he'll crush himself because I thought of beached whales and why they can hardly move to try to shimmy back into the water

  8. The whole point of the large amount of meetings is because the creators of the movie were referencing all the red tape and unnecessary policies and procedures have during national emergencies. The whole movie is pretty much talking crap about the government
