Join Island Time as we share the latest in cruising and cruise news. On the show today, we share big change seen by passengers on the Carnival Venezia. Carnival is using the lido deck space in a completely new way, a way that we are enjoying. We know that some will not like the change and may even prevent them from booking the ship.

I think she looks beautiful.
The Heroes sports bar has not been connecting to a signal and they're still near land. Plus, 6 chairs at the sports bar is going to create some interesting confrontations when football season starts.
It looks ok but different it doesn’t look like original Carnival ships
Not loving this layout. I need my lido mid ship party vibe.
Ty for your honest opinion. I am looking forward to sailing on her in July out of NYC. Change is sometimes good, and we are excited to experience it.
It looks very nice! Thank you for sharing!
Beautiful Ship!
PLEASE TELL ME THERE IS A PIAZZA PANINI RESTAURANT ON THE VENEZIA!! I don’t see it anywhere as one of the restaurants 😫
That midship Lido area looks very nice!
Are there less hot tubs than other Carnival ships like the Magic?
It sounds like these ships they transferred from Costa to Carnival are more suited for sailing to Alaska and New England/Canada (due to the lack of sun lounging space). I wonder why they didn't transfer them to Princess, P & O, or Holland America instead?
Does this ship have a Shaq's Chicken?
DEREK, I don't understand the confusion people are having about the ship. I GOT THE MEMO. As soon as Carnival's announcement came out that this would be Carnival, Italian Style, that bell 🔔 should have been ringing. They SHOULD have looked at the ship's deck plans to see the differences compared to the Carnival ship's. If anyone expected the ship's to look exactly the same, obviously, they weren't listening either. It's easy to make changes or enhancements to menus, but doing a MAJOR reconstruction project in a matter of weeks just doesn't fly or sail
Where is Guy's Burgers?
I am looking forward to sailing on this beautiful ship but my question is how are the beds? Are they comfortable or like sleeping on boards?
I like it. The retractable roof is a plus.
So what I am seeing is the lido deck is now business in the front and party in the back??? Let’s go!!!
Could you research if there are any gluten-free options at Il Viaggio and Tepanyaki? We’ve made reservations but 3 people in our party are GF. Thanks!
Awesome, thank you!
I love it. I feel like the lido is a meeting space/resting stop/ highway area of the ship. Express way if you will.
The party is usually at the atrium by the guest services bar and theatre and clubs and piano bar gives a city “downtown” vibe.
So where is the Sail Away video?
WOW! A Carnival ship with some actual "CLASS"!
Wow definitely not what I’m used to. Thank you for sharing. I will be sailing June 27th
My input is that I think it’s a great concept, because every time I go by the music on lido it’s overwhelming for me because I have autism, by putting it in the back of the ship will help a lot
Thanks for information 👍 june 15th 💥
Great review!
Going on the Carnival Venezia for a 15 day cruise September 29th can't wait.
Not enough loungers for the pool
That looks like a great ship
The ship can be returned to Costa if it doesn't work for Carnival.
I'm reeady to give it a try! Too bad I'm booked up for the next couple of years! LOL!
Really interesting, honestly not sure I like it, we like what we’re used to
Does the ship have automatic power door where you can push a button to get in and out in the accessible cabins
