Hi everyone, I am the J in this video. I emailed Bob awhile back because I didn't know how to talk about this encounter. This event really made me take a hard look at my life and evaluate what is truly important. I initially asked for some level of discretion, and he did do that, but after seeing all of the positive comments it truly means the world to me. This isn't something that is normal conversation material in the slightest but I knew that I needed to get it off of my chest. I'm happy to report that I am still sober to this day, 100%, with no intention of going back to that life. I am also seeing a behavioral health specialist at my local VA. I'm very glad that I didn't get the chance to utilize a permanent solution to a temporary problem. There is always a reason to continue pushing on.Thank you to everyone for your kind words. My interpretation of events is; I think the sasquatch was sizing up the cub as a meal. The subject of the story ruined the squatch's dinner plan, hence the look of annoyance on the squatch.
I think he did interrupt a hunt – explaining the scolding irritated “now get out of here!” look. IMHO, it probably cared not that you were in distress, and perhaps stuck around out of curiosity or for the chance to communicate that you were in fact a PITA to him that day. 😂 it’s all good though because you’re here and Bob had a good story to tell!

I really love this stuff and none of your stories sound like the obvious BSers like the guys who say the bigfoot only shows up for them and they can only see it. As far as a black bear, theres not much you can do but stand still and pray and if its a polar bear go ahead and say your last words cuz thats all your going to get a chance to do.

Bigfoot put that cub up in the tree to lure moma bear out and he was annoyed and disappointed that buddy got in the way of his black bear stew dinner prep. Glad you're still with us bro. Thx for sharing
No, he made the wrong move there with the bear. So when you see the cub, you are certain to meet the momma and that's really, really bad news for you. All the "tricks" you hear that might save you in an encounter with a bear are only possibly effective in pretty much any other encounter with a bear. When you are around a bear cub and its mother, you are almost certainly going to die so all the rules go out the window. The only real choice there is to run like you've never ran before. Try to put trees and things between you and momma bear. If you are lucky enough to get a certain distance away from momma bear, you have probably survived as most often, she won't leave her cub alone for long. Almost always, you don't want to immediately run when encountering a predator and that is of course because they are designed to chase things that are running away but that doesn't apply when seeing a mother bear and cub and that's because a different instinct is at play for the bear. Protect my baby. Well, this just gonna be an attempt and at the end of the day, all you can really do is give your soul to god because your ass now belongs to momma bear.
I heard another story of a man who was about to end his life in the woods, bent down to the river and behind the big bush next to his side was a huge BF drinking water silently. It bluffed chased him and he ran out of there so hard/fast he said ‘I never realized how much I wanted to live until that moment..’ ❤
I love the description of past depression. I came for the Sasquatch I left with the emotional knowledge. Also, I think the scolding look from the Squatch was for messing up his hunt.
People think that Sasquatch saved him , what is most likely that Sasquatch was hunting the mother bear and seeing a person made that creature warry and curious he didn’t expect u nor did u I guess it was observing u just as you were to u both caught each other by surprise, if that thing wanted u it would definitely caught u consider urself lucky
To Bob G & Mr Paracord – There is so much that we Assume about the mentality of the animals of Earth. Their alleged love or hate … their glee and remorse, that I wouldn’t be surprised if the Sasquatch smelt this death walk … that the nature of this march is common in the forests, jungles and mountains of the animal kingdom. A primal instinct to escape into memory while dignity allows it. – a fascinating case, to be sure. 🤔

Bob, I apologize for not mentioning this before, but my daughter and grandkids were driving back to Kentucky from Florida and I introduced them to your videos. We binged listened/watched your videos. They like them so much my 10 year old granddaughter listened to many more after we got home.

We got both of those critters where I live. Seen them both way too close for comfort. I think the fear would have killed me.

I live a couple of hours from the VA Western side mountains. There a few encounters up there every year.
