I love all the transportation options! Except at park open and close. 😆 Are bus ETAs still available in the MDE app? We used that feature in 2019 but didn’t think to use it last year and I am not seeing that option on our 2023 resort reservation. Perhaps that’s because I’m not on property but it could be that they rolled that feature back since the pandemic?
We booked the contemporary this Thursday for the exact reason that we’re not morning people and early entry is 7:30 am and I’m attempting to set us up for success and we can just walk over. The rest of the trip we’re staying at art of animation mermaid rooms because we aren’t rich lmao

I was just at WDW last week. We stayed at Pop Century and on our Epcot day we took the Skyliner. Took the Monorail to Chef Mickey's for our kiddo, and then back to watch Spaceship Earth after dark. Then the took the skyliner back to Resort. My son has a special need, so we rented a stroller knowing he would not be able to do all the walking. WDW Transportation was amazing.

I used to tell people don't pick your resort because of transportation because there didn't used to be so many options. Now, you do need to weigh some things. If you aren't a fan of the sky liner, for whatever reason, you probably want to stay away from CB, PoP or Riv. You won't have an option of how to get to HS or Epcot except the sky liner and if it goes down, it can get confusing as to how to get back to the resorts from the parks since there usually isn't advance notice. If you like Epcot but aren't a fan of the monorail, stay away from the MK resorts – CR, GF and Poly because unless the monorail is down, you aren't getting to Epcot any other way from those resorts, they don't provide buses (pro tip you can head over to MK and catch a bus from there). Some of the resorts only have buses, which I actually enjoy but to each his own. If you aren't a fan of walking or boats, stay away from the Epcot resorts because if you want to get to HS or Epcot from those, it's boats or walking (you could also take the sky liner but you have to transfer at CB and that will take longer than the boats or walking).
Thanks for the video! The monorail used to be my favorite form of transportation, but on our last trip we stayed at one of the Skyliner resorts, and I think it now holds the top spot. Not a huge fan of the 'hub' first thing in the morning (way too crowded!) but other than that, it was great. And we ended up using buses, the monorail, and the ferry on our trip before it was all said and done. They were all great in their own way. Think next trip we're staying at one of the monorail resorts though.

(Disney buses are not coaches (like DME). They are urban or commuter type buses.)
Disney has built bus lanes and roadways, especially to/from Disney Springs and entrances to theme parks, so that buses are not as affected by traffic. I like riding the buses passing all the cars stuck in traffic.
OK this fact is about right! 35-foot and 40-foot models, with the 35-foot bus carrying 31 seated passengers and a total of 62 passengers, while the 40-foot can transport 38 seated 75 total passengers.
