Whether you’re a fan of RPGs like Metaphor: ReFantazio and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, looking to dive into something with a little more action like Helldivers 2 or Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, or prefer something more chill like Balatro or Astro Bot, this year has something for everyone. Here is a list of the best reviewed games of 2024.

  1. Is there an alternative to IGN, like alternative game journalism channel? Because I can't take these guys seriously anymore. Learn from mainstream media and realize you lost the trust of your core audience. To me now an IGN 9 is a real world 6.

  2. Look… no hate on those writing and voicing these videos, but I prefer the montages with background music; they are great also for sharing in social media. By the way, IGN should go back to them when revealing Game of the Year; look up 2012 GotY and see it for yourself.

  3. Marvel Rivals The comment I was looking for. My biggest hours since the PS5 released have been on GoWR, Hogwarts Legacy, HFW, AC Rubicon, that Star Wars sequel to Jedi something something, and Cyberpunk 2077.

I’m also not much of a gamer. I haven’t played the game since summer this year. For about a month when I finished GoWR and bought CP77. Prior to that I hadn’t played since Jan 2023. Prior to that? I last played during the pandemic.

I don’t have ps plus so I can’t even go online. I’m thinking about buying ps plus this very moment since I’m out of school till spring semester. About a good month. To just relax and get back in the groove of playing games. Plus I finished my living room and have the whole Sony home theater setup. I wanna hear how crisp the games will sound.

I’m on the final mission of CP77. I’m stuck on the fourth boss on Armored Core. I fucked around and saved right before that fight. Worse decision ever. Plus I haven’t played it in so long I might as well restart the entire game. And Hogwarts legacy I still have to beat. I’m on that book/story mission where I gotta beat hordes of monsters. But the game kept glitching every time I got close to beating it so I stopped playing back in 2023.

I wanted to pick up that Baldurs Gate 3 game. That gta knockoff ā€œThe Precinctā€ and Wu Kon Black myth as well.

    What do y’all think?

  4. It's honestly cringe how people keep trying to push folks to care about and buy/not buy the same games. IGN, these Youtubers….everyone keeps farming the exact same things over and over again for engagement.
