These are the best new freighter upgrades in No Man’s Sky Endurance! The Endurance update added a ton of new freighter items, and removed some old favorites. Among the best new freighter upgrades I think that the Teleporter Room, the Planetary Probe, and the Steller Extractor Room make freighters the best new bases in the game!

  1. Why is everyone freaking out about the trade termial room like it's something new? We already had trade termials that could go on any wall, be free standing or even be in a hallway. They took it away and the one we had as well as the free standing refiners and planters. These room "upgrades" seem to be a massive inconvenience. Plus the way it just looks at you as you walk around is creepy and unnecessary.

  2. Great video Jason. Just wondering how you manage to clear the walls aroud the scanner room in the video. I'm new to nms and your channel and still learning how to play/build in this game. I'm on PS4. Would love to have the scanner set up like you with no walls around it. Keep up the good work Jason.

  3. 2:20 You need FOUR modules to unlock the interstellar scanner. 🙂 Also – if you plan to do all your exploration with you freighter from here on out, you can yank two devices out of your individual ships once you do get the interstellar scanner. Thanks, HG.

I rather have new missions then re build the inside took 6 hours to get a S class then they changed the inside should only have been new freights give us a reason to get new freighter I don't feel like re designing in inside again lost lot of stuff do to the update stuff is stuck in walls I can't break. After 307 hours I'm out thanks so much for the content Jason and keep up the hard work

  5. i may be the only person in the world, but i don't like that the scanner room on your freighter now is able to scan and also claim every single planet as discovered with a press of a button, so you won't need to actually land on the planet to claim your discovery. Sure, you can still do that, but you don't have to. That is a big difference. This will result in all new systems being completely discovered by a single player each.

    I liked the fact that you need to put some effort in exploring to get the reward that you have discovered a new world. Having this being done so easy and fast takes a core element of the game away. This is like receiving tons of nanites with as less effort as possible and that is simply not rewarding. Again, you can still have the choice, but i personally would liked it much more if you could scan the system, but then can pulse drive with your freighter to each planet's orbit and then have to land on the planet to finally claim your discovery. That would make even more use of the freighter in my opinion.

  7. Awesome! I just have to know… how do you get the individual modules into such a large open space? When I'm placing them, there is a claustrophobic doorway between each. I'm curious how you avoid this?

  8. Something I noticed about the Class, I "Think" so please don't quote me, if anyone can confirm that would be awesome, but I believe the Class upgrades from being sent out on missions. I think I had a C class become a B class. I could be wrong, but it's a theory from my own personal experience.

  9. I only started play NMS a few weeks ago. I had my first encounter with a Freighter being attacked, but a the time I didn't understand that first contact with the captain would give me that freighter. So after this update, I got on my character, hoping I didn't screw up that free one, and I got a class A freighter. But now I have to learn all about building on a freighter. But yea it has bugs. My fleet command keeps disappearing and I end up wasting mats to install it again. Only to find out if I leave the ship, go do some thing on a planet then come back I now have 2 freaking fleet commands. Very annoying. I am not rich yet lol

  10. the base computer existed on PC but you could not TP to the fighter
    The market was already a thing pre-update
    Refiners could be built pre-update
    the extractors are neat and then teleporting to the ship is great and the feel of it being your mother ship is awesome
    …….I'm not happy my freighter base that took ligit weeks to glitch build is broken and now has to be fully reset …. not happy at all

  11. I will say that the stellar collectors seem very underpowered. I can have the same effect with a stack of oxygen, some chlorine and five minutes with a medium reactor. Selling that provides you with all the chromatic metal you'd ever need. As for the gases – I'd rather just hop to my random gas base once every few hours with the tele. Much easier.

  12. Before this update, freighters were a meh feature at best. They were a big garage where I parked my extra ships and stored my excess items. Now they are so much more and much more interesting. This update is a major game changer.
