  1. I didn't see as many films as I wanted to this year for financial reasons, but of the films I did see? My personal favorites were:

    The Wild Robot
    Dune Part 2
    Alien Romulus
    Monkey Man
    Conclave
    Civil War

With my two main choices being Wicked for most entertaining and I Saw The TV Glow for most contemplative.

  2. I'm going to throw one more in there that I'm not sure many have seen– but it's the French film, The Count of Monte-Cristo– and it's a masterpiece. It's been shortlisted and is expected to be submitted by France's Oscar committee for consideration as best foreign film for the Academy Awards, and it would not surprise me if it walks away with a best picture win. Incredible script, cast, performances, cinematography, production design, set design, score, and just an overall beautifully done film. Definitely my movie of the year.

  3. And you know for a fact there's not going to be a top worst movies of 2024 list.

Because this is a film celebration channel, you see Chris Stuckman himself as a filmmaker and a lot of these movies appealed to him when he was a youth.

M night shyamalan can't make any bad movies because he one time reached out to Chris on Twitter.

This is a film celebration channel. Also. Chris is a filmmaker.

He understands the difficulty of making films so he realizes that criticism of films that are genuinely bad is not necessary.

  6. Wow I was truly surprised by the top pick. I hadn't heard of it at all but now I am really excited to enjoy it with my family who is very picky with their selection and can't stand horrors or anything that earns it's R-Rating.

  8. I am shocked that Hundreds of Beavers is your No. 1 of the year because it's my No. 1 as well and it seems like no one else has seen it or even heard of it. Everyone needs to see this one. It is the most bang-for-your-buck entertainment for such a small independent budget that I've ever seen.
