  1. Thank you for the review. Instantly lost interest the minute you mentioned no hdmi 2.1 and just did not care when you mentioned the fan noise. Thank you.
At $1300 I just expect better. I don't want noise coming out of my monitor unless it has speakers built in.

  2. This Review is out of date the new ones come with M0B102 firmware and the issues have been fixed.

I've had this monitor for 3 weeks now M0B102 version. There were issues with the first batches (M0B101) but mine has zero fan noise. I find the black levels better than my older X34 Predator even with the lights on and during the day. Yes there is some grean on the letters but everything else makes up for the minor inconvenience. I hardly even notice it anymore sitting a normal distance from the monitor. I have it on HDR400 and it is plenty bright for me. HDR1000 was over the top for me. I would never go back to a lcd panel. I have duel monitors and my side monitor is a 4k LG 32" and you can notice the colour difference.
If you are thinking of buying one, don't worry just get it.

  3. I bought this monitor but can't for the life of me find the resolutions it first had when I turned it on. 3440×1440 is the only resolution that doesn't add the black bars on the sides. At first it had odd resolutions similar to like 2209×1260 or something like that and it looked great, a bunch of different really odd ones. They all were properly aspect ratio'd and worked on 175hz. Now though after updating to the drivers recommended by dell I can't get this damn thing to give me a resolution below 3440×1440. Why would I use one below that? well, laggy games that's why, even with 128gb of ram and a 3090 Founder's card some games like Genshin Impact have some issues with lag spikes that didn't happen when i was on those resolutions.

  4. All I took from this review is that if you want a good all-around, monitor for both media consumption and productivity, it is best to get a Mini LED one. In like 5 years this can be replaced with an OLED monitor, as the tech should mature by then.
Can't wait for the Samsung Odyssey G8 review, I'm considering getting a 165Hz version, but I need to see how it performs first.

  5. I just bought this monitor and have been using it for a couple of weeks, and let me tell you it blows any IPS or VA monitor out of the water. I Don't agree with what he said about it looking similar to a IPS in bright environments, at all. Yeah, it reflects light, but it's reflecting light off of PERFECT ink blacks

  6. Man this is such a fucking piss off! We have been begging for a basic glossy 16:9 IPS LED monitor for too many years. Alienware goes ahead and releases a huge 34 inch OLED monitor that is expensive as hell. Regardless of price, I do not like Ultrawide monitors. Can they not release a 27 inch QHD glossy gaming monitor for the masses?

  7. If Sony could stop sitting on their asses and make a software implementation for 1440p for the PS5 I would be happy to get this monitor. It would be my do everything monitor; I don't want to have to buy separate monitors for gaming/photo/video editing. Why can't we have it all 😭

  8. Is the light washout / reduction of black levels – just ambient light excitation of the quantum dot layer? – is it possible to do a magnified look at an area of ambient light / washout to see if it matches the subpixel structure?

  9. Shame about burn in this OLED monitor as my monitor is on 24/7 and gaming with a static hud in games and on desktop would just cause so much burn in with these type of monitor is just a matter of not when but for how long wast of money for me for gaming other wist as this is better than my 3400x1400p widescreen i would of been interested why i am more interested in the new neo g7 or the new odyssey ARC depends on the review and no risk of burning

  10. I've had this monitor for about 2 weeks now and can safely say that I do not notice any text clarity or color fringing issues.. it looks just as clear as my LG 34gp83a-b does, although it's not quite as bright. This monitor is amazing.

  11. 6:00 fan noise. There are 2 (!) fans in this monitor – and they are lowest quality possible.
The reason why so many people are calling for a replacement or money back (the replacement wont fix cheap chineese fans in a new monitor lol)

i did find a forum in Germany – they actually TEARDOWN the back pannel and replaced the fans with Noctuas…
    wow nice quality dell!
