  1. Gabe, it may be the actual year, not time of the year for the cicadas. There are different broods for when they emerge and start singing. For example, in my area the 17 year brood are the loudest and most prolific.

  2. Gabriel, Nice adventure , seeking a nice beach ! As long as the water is clear enough that you can see your feet , no trash, garbage or vegetation , the water ought to be nice . No sharks , rays, jelly fish ? That is a huge bonus . The jungle is rather creepy , so do you need to yell , hey snake … ( as you say say hey bear ….on other hikes 🤣) ?

  3. You should definitely go to Vietnam 🇻🇳 since you’re in the neighbourhood. It’s a short flight and super cheap for a return flight from Bangkok to Saigon. You won’t be disappointed 🎉🎉🎉
