  1. To help: Delta V is specifically "Change of Velocity" as the Greek symbol "Delta (Δ)" stands for "Change in something" and 'V' stands for "Velocity"

The lower your ΔV the less fuel or propellant you have to be able to change your velocity.

  2. I'm a miner in Elite Dangerous but I'm also an explorer. I'm currently over 8000 light years from the bubble exploring and I haven't been doing what I love (mining) for over a year now. This looks like a great interim game to play to get my mining jones satisfied every now and then. Thanks SCG for the video, good stuff! Subbed and bell!

  3. I purchased the game back when you first reviewed this game. Its a good game and even has some higher quality textures and resultions you can download.. Your experience of there not being much combat is different from mine. I haven't played in a few months but when I left off i had run into an alien ship in one of the cooler moments. You can even sometimes run into abandoned ships and can take the whole thing back to the station. Many times i got ravaged by pirates or backstabbers. As you go deeper into the rings you run into fights and "events" all the time. The laser is not very effective. It is stronger the closer you are and if i recall there are multiple laser types but yeah I pretty much had to run away whenever running lasers. I think you actually made out well by running out of fuel before that guy destroyed you at the end. Full destruction is game over. You load your save from when you left the station so you lose all progress from the run you are on.

  4. My favorite little detail about the HUD is that the visual feed has _light lag_. Any data reported has to go to Enceladus prime, and then back to you, so it takes about two seconds.

  5. 29:00 i mean. The guy clearly told you you had nothing to do here, wether he was a pirate or someone really territorial. And you, in some youtuber level hindsight, decided to stick arround and shoot some roids and even grabed some loot. XD You brought this on yourself. Should have grabed the pod and not get greedy, aka, hightail the hell away from the guy before even concideering ploting a jump course xD

That asside lovely game. I remember seeing one video of it forever ago…but it was…not well presented and seemed boring as hell.

That asside, who's to say miners cant fight? Look a void destroyer… bloody mining faction going full war mode with ships made out modules straped on and in asteroids, even going as far as shooting asteroids as a weapon projectile lol

30:22 AND ONCE AGAIN THE YOUTUBER ATTENTION SPAN STRIKE AGAIN XD you sold the freaking pod you….aaaaaargh

  6. Fun fact about astroid mining in the real world. Its a misconception that the primary target would be rare metals. The most useful and profitable resourse would be water-ice because it sustains the operation. You can drink it, make oxygen and fuel out of it, ect. Not to mention it is vital if we want to build colonies to stay in space, which sould be the end goal of going to space anyway.

  7. Wow cool someone made a game that's just the terrible grindy bullshit parts of the 'open world survival crafting' genre that was already an absolute trash genre in itself. Devs couldn't pay me to play this. It seems insane to me that people can enjoy these "games" that are just chores.

  8. You can tune your microwave and set the water frequency to the max, however it's kinda bad at ship to ship combat.
There's also a Vulture variant of the ship you are using, you get a high stress hard point trading off your drone hard points. I put a robot arm on there with double microwaves to further de-ice them. The drawback is it consumes some power.
