  1. I don't understand a word but I prefer the Tamil version 'nila kaigiarathu' over the Hindi version 'khili chandni' of the same song.
I also love the Telugu 'Kanna nidurinchara' more than the Hindi or Tamil versions.
Different languages just enhance the beauty of certain lyrics and melodies.

  2. So a lot of "Bollywood hits" you guys react to are actually originally Tamil songs from A.R Rahman translated into Hindi. You should listen to A.R Rahman's early songs in the original Tamil version (since the composition fits Tamil perfectly )

  3. Spanish and English are closer to Hindi than Tamil is. Tamil is in a completely different language family. Still, we can understand each other to an extent because of borrowed words between Hindi and Dravidian languages.

  4. It's great to see you guys enjoying …even singing along on Hindi songs …and like Efra said this could be a great segway into regional languages such as Tamil , Malayalam, Telegu and Kannada … Easiest way to go to South Indian languages is to start with A R Rahman songs ….
