The art of making terracotta – Palazzo Morelli

Each production batch of handmade terracotta Palazzo Morelli is the result of a long working process that, step by step, is carefully handmade by our craftsmen and carefully controlled in order to ensure the best quality. Our product is perfectly suitable for indoor and outdoor floorings, coatings, columns, roofs and attics.

1. Moulding: the clay is mixed only with water and brought on work benches, where is manually shaped into a wooden mould.

2. Drying: before cooking, each item is placed on the floor to complete its natural drying cycle.

3. Cooking: each brick is put next to the others inside the kiln and left cooking for six days at a maximum temperature of about 1000°C.

4. Selection: at the end of the cooling process, all pieces are taken out of the kiln, controlled and carefully selected before being further ennobled.
