  1. 5:50 Oh, thank the maker, finally a mage that already comes with fireball. Now it might get some non-fade tutorial uses in this LP after all, in spite of Welonz' efforts.
13:10 And the game is even already doing it on its own too. Perfect. Best AOE use yet and very fittingly entirely without any Welonz involvement in the process.
Looks like even the game has had enough of this aoe avoidance went "Fine I'll do it myself."

  2. Ah the Architect, the first time we met a darkspawn that speaks like this, well besides the Mother and the other darkspawns. But still it is fascinating seeing this guy, I think he showed up in a novel that had to do with Duncan in his early days as a warden. Though this raises questions on if the Architect was always intelligent or if he was turned into a darkspawn but had his mind still intact.

  3. 39:25 Actually the smell will improve. Eventually. Once all the flesh is finished rotting off and he's a skeleton the smell should be much better. In the meantime, maybe Oghren's smell can crowd it out or at least combine with it into a toxic gas that non-party members have not built up the required resistance to it yet.

Justice + Oghren = Biological warfare squad.

  4. Bug alert – As you get closer to the endgame, it is worth mentioning that due to a bug with the game script, a certain companion (*see below for name) may be incorrectly flagged as dead in the save file unless this companion is in your party in the final battle. If this bug is triggered, it will have minor effects on Dragon Age 2. In case the bug is triggered, you can still use the "getsetplotflag" mod and the game console to manually correct the flag in the save file before the entire save game data is imported into Dragon Age 2.

*The companion is nathaniel. The console command fix is "runscript zz_getsetplotflag set cod_cha_nathaniel 12 0" (according to the wiki). Bugs like these are unfortunate; I guess another reason why they had to go with the Dragon Age Keep.

  5. maybe go to the city first and do the other quests if you go to the keep idk if you will be able to finish them otherwise also gifts dont work like you think they do in this dlc I tried giving gifts tho they wont take them some yes and its just +1 but sometimes they do nothing also Oghren would talk with you if he was in your party more since you got Sigrun you left him on the bench the entire time saying Nate cant bench you always noo Sigrun you cant leave out but Oghren hes been in like what 3 or 4 episodes? hes the only member/ friend you have in your party from Origins and you bench him like that its really a shame

  6. 42:45 You know what? I think Velanna could free people who are overwhelmed in a very epic way by throwing a fireball at them. That does throw people back after all. Might have even worked out pretty ok damage-wise too in this situation. There were multiple enemies still left after all. Fireball-Group heal should be a viable madman combo aswell.

  7. The spyglass is for sigrun and the sextant was for Nate. All the alcohol that you have in your stash is for oghren as well as the toy horse. If you do oghren's quest you get a pretty wholesome epilogue about him.

  8. No spider = good.
Running around screaming with people on fire. Reminds me of WoW raids. "If you get Agro your going to lose 50 DKP because you didnt know what the Fck to do."

  9. 3:08 I personally suspect that Justice was protesting helping Velanna, not freeing her sister. I imagine what Justice would prefer is for everybody to get what's their just due (punishment for Velanna, and then you saving Seranni without Velanna).

  10. I don't like Justice. He really does have a rigid sense of morality. It goes with being a spirit. They ALL latch onto something and hold on tight in a two dimensional way. It makes sense, but that doesn't mean I have to like it.

  11. I love Velanna, she´s so over the top cranky! Her keeper skills are also ridiculously overpowered. I always tend to run around with her, Anders and Nathaniel. They have the best commentary 😂

  12. I wish they'd rebalanced the new specs and made them available in Origins. Like you said, the expansion is so short that you hardly have time to use them.

  13. Sigrun: "I can't believe they took our stuff! Well, at least Justice and I still have our helmets. Maybe we can-"
    Wellens: "Give it to me."
    Sigrun: "…what?"
Wellens: "Your helmet. It's mine now. I command it. You can have this smelly one we pulled off of a Darkspawn corpse."

  14. There's a lot about the Architect and Utha that's super unclear unless one reads The Calling.
I didn't get much out of them about the events preceding the dlc on my last run through, but in case Welonz does I'll hold off on talking about it for now.

  15. Honestly, I always recruit Velanna, but she's the one I'm most tempted to refuse. She attacks all humans for her sister's abduction, and never expresses any regret about the people she murdered even after she learns the truth. She had a vendetta to begin with, and the only reason she asks to join the Wardens is to gain more power.

  16. Hm, Welonz comments on some of the issues within the Dragon Age World in this Episode gives me a rough idea on how she will decide some controversial decisions in later games.
