Maybe the local demons got trashed on the wood booze and chased the locals.
DOG HATER
I would say that the remains being dug up was fiction but the whole village could have died if they were on the lake ice fishing and the lake broke open and they all drowned. There solved!
Best keep your mouth shut about dogs Simon 😂 .
You know who values dog life more than human life? EVERYONE THAT'S EVER MET BOTH A HUMAN AND A DOG!!!
Simon is a sociopath.
I work in Danville,VA and read the Danville Bee quite often! ❤
When you bite the inside of your mouth, gargle with salt water.
You want to see the salt floating around as you stir it.
Nunavut's average YEARLY snowfall is 2 metres. Permafrost pretty much precludes graves as we know them. The Inuit buried bodies under cairns of rock. Rock cairns were also used to store food, keeping it safe from animal predation. If the settlement had left on an annual migration, as was most common, they may have opened up a cairn for its supplies. The 'dogs' roaming around may actually have been wolves. To the unitiated huskies & wolves are quite similar looking. Nomadic Inuit communities were small because of the amount of land area needed to support them so 25 is probably correct. Either population of 200 or 2,000 is totally unrealistic. As for wood beer, that is probably a fermented version of birch or spruce beer if it was even alcoholic at all. Finally, at that time, the Canadian govt. was involved in forcably moving Inuit communities to other, more central sites, something the RCMP may not have wanted disclosed. They also removed children to religiously run schools (a more shameful tragedy!), separating them from their families & suppressing their language. Later, finding their families was often impossible due to their nomadic ways. As for the mystical/mythical characters, the group or individual may not have encountered big white men with guns before & being generally short in stature may have appeared to an injured hallucinating Innue hunter as terrifying monsters. BTW Joe LaBelle is a fairly common French Canadian sobriqet found in other tales of the north. All in all, it's not a mystery but a conflation of very few facts taken out of context.
Yeah, but Alex Jones has been right about more unbelievable shit than he's been wrong about. He's about 3,000% more accurate than any meteorologist and 6-9 months ahead of the corporate mass media… So…
there are some crazy true stories from up north….im sketchy on the details but it involves several incidents of decapitated hunters in a insanely isolated area….super lazy comment i know lol but if google if interested.
I could do with out Simons commentary.
The enchanted cupboard reference is from the "Indian in the Cupboard" books by Lynne Reid Banks published in 1980.
Im sorry Simon but youre wrong. The lives of dogs are more valuable than the lives of humans. There is no way you could ever change my mind on the matter, not that you would care to try.
I knew well he didn't appreciate dogs, but throwing in Hitler for comparison is a low. This monster only supposedly valued dogs more than certain groups of people and should not be used to make dog lovers feel bad. Most people valuating dog / animal life had a special connection with a pet or most likely were disappointed by the "superiour" human race. I feel with them. 💕
I can understand why Joe the trapper left the village. He was hunting beaver. 🐹
Anyone else trying to connect the dots with the Lost Colony of Roanoke, or is it just me?
There are a lot of blokes in north Canada on the hunt for beaver. Nice.
I will forever find the fact that Simon grew up basically 30mins down then road from me and I recognise a lot of these random places from his tangents somewhat wild
6:21 — yes, you can make alcohol from wood, but that's kind of fatal..
Haven't gotten around to actually watching this video yet… but every time I see that thumbnail I think it says "Agni Kai" like from The Last Airbender lol.
Better have fed those damn dogs…don't just fish for them and shrug when the fish aren't biting.
Well I did take it, lol. 🤭
