My great, great grandfather George T Wynn, from Oakville, Texas served in the 24th Texas and was captured in this battle, spent the next several months in St.Louis as a POW at Gravier St. Prision ,before he passed away from pneumonia. He is buried at Jefferson Barracks along with 130 other Texan's. He left a widow and four children. RIP.
