  1. Tales End does wonders to counter abilities AND legendary spells like urza's ruinous blast, IF people can get past the head canon that counter spells that can't counter a regular spell are inherently bad. Like oh look, a turn two counter that can keep Sythis from hitting the board. Or prevent that Atraxa proliferate trigger that's about to kill the table, or the aetherflux reservoir that is threatening the table.

  2. I do agree with etal and jofah … I have never played against a scary edgar deck though … And obnixilis and skullbriar i've never seen… Bit no considering the the skull for muldrotha as a fun include πŸ˜…
For me very scary commanders are the new manifestdread zimone … and the outlaws rakdos ….
And latest i've played against a pretty scary dimir deck .. Don't know the name .. It was this drsgon from i thing march of the maschine that brainstorms anf casts spells from the too when it dies … With lots of resnimate and when it dies it comes back… It can just go through the deck with one sacoutlet ….
The outlaws rakdos mill into exile and play all the cards … Is disgusting … Anf zimone can cheat out so much big stuff its powerful allready, when you fill the deck with topend jank … Not to mention when its a voidwinnower turn 3 or 4 …
    Etali hate this card πŸ˜‚
I would ad commanders that kill with just one extra card like sir conrad… Niv mizzet … Kinda stuff where its just annoying to play against, since you instantly have to kill the commander every time it hits the field…
But you could go on with the list of scary commanders …
Today we get so many powercrept ones that should cost at least 2 mana more but they don't kill you and draw cards while doing that…

  3. skullbriar doesn't belong here, not before: tergrid, ur dragon, yuriko, slicer, and company… he still needs 4 turn cicles to clean the table AFTER getting big enough.. and any fog effects delays that.. he is not gonna win turn 5/6/7 like any of the other decks

  4. People underestimate my NivMizzet Reborn deck.

It's one of my best decks. A solid pile of removal, counterspells, good value cards with a good balance along the 10 guilds means when I drop my commander I suddenly get an extra 6 or so cards in my hand.

  5. Edgar – Super Yes
    Etali – Slightly Yes
    Jodah – Yes
    Atraxa – Super Yes
    Gitrog – Slightly No
    Ob Nixilis- Slightly No
    Skullbriar – No

I'm sorry there's a lot more feared commanders like Yuriko, Krenko, Slicer, or even Rakdos riot.

  6. You forgot to mention that Ob Nixilis also triggers off of opponents fetch lands, pain lands, mana confluence, talismans etc.
Especially in higher power games where everyone plays these cards, makes Ob even scarier.

  7. One really nice creature for skullbriar, albeit a bit slow, is scavenged brawler. If you can discard it somehow, it can give skully 4 +1/+1 counters and 4 keyword counters for just five mana.

  8. I made a Gitrog Monster as my second deck, because I liked Golgari, lands and frogs. It became a bit too strong and samey, is there any good commanders that would work well without having to change many of the cards?

  9. These are some really good Commanders. I'm surprised Toxrill did not make this list. My friend has an Edgar deck and when he sees Toxrill, it kills a lot of his Vampires. Thank you Mia and Beezy for the video.
