The 7 Best Survival Games of 2022!

I’ve spent a few days rounding up some (STEAM PC) Survival games that simply look great, some are underrated, a couple are still in development but all of them are worth keeping an eye on! I tried including many that people won’t have heard of, while still giving credit to a couple which are obviously unmissable regardless of their notoriety.

Note: Many of these games are available on other platforms, but some aren’t!

  3. Funny, no mention at all of any of the 4 or 5 survival games i currently play – Subsistence – Keep Up Survival – The Infected – Rising World – Osiris New Dawn
    I had only heard of 2 or 3 of these, and have played their demos – and btw you pronunciation of the Arid stuff was terrible. The Atacama Desert IS the hottest place on Earth, outside of a volcano anyway, it IS a very real place, and it should serve as a reminder that even YT Gamers should put their heads in the REAL WORLD and learn some stuff now and then, or you may miss out a number of references games often include

    I will be checking out Derelicts, not because you made it #1 but because iy did look most interesting to me
    A small critique on your video, i feel you rushed through them, i wouldve liked to have seen you playing for a few minutes in each game, pointing out the good and bad of each
    And before you say people wont watch videos longer than 10 minutess, i really think they will if each game only takes 5 minutes each, they can always skip, and damnit have we really become a race of beings who cannot focus for more than a few minutes?

  10. Many of these were meh. "worth a try because they are free" or "have potential because they are in earlier access"? Weird reasoning. I think most of these look terrible and our complacency with bad games is why we have so many garbage, unfinished games out right now.
    At exactly 4:43 you're saying "pretty realistic and grungy artsyle" while showing rocks that are so low poly its just a bunch of triangles. The only half decent game in here is Vrising and it's not even #1. Your #1 game is some game thats not even out yet.
    The industry is f'ed if this is how we think.

  13. Id love a actual realistic survival game. The protagonist is usually just average normal person but some how can smelt iron and craft tools and build huge wooden structures. 99% of humans couldnt do that today never mind a post apocaplse wasteland

  17. when you said for Xera survival "the game development is super active" i almost spat out my coffee, you couldnt be further from the truth, the game has 1 developer, no that wasnt a typo it literally has just one single developer, seasons are meant to last 3 to 4 months but they get dragged out to 6 to 10 months because the dev is painstakingly slow at releasing updates for the game, the player base has decreased so much because everyone gets tired of waiting for the new season to start, not to mention the chinese clans abuse game bugs and wipe everyones bases on the servers and seem to get away with it, i played for all of season 5 and season 6 i have about 1500 hours in the game and sorry to be a negative nancy but the truth is the game is going down hill and sinking like the titanic, which is very sad this game has so much potential to be a great game but due to the dev and the chinese clans killing the game its just wasted potential of what could be a really great game. who knows what the future holds for xera i really hope the dev puts more time into the game and fixes the bugs that ruin the game because i havent played for 1500 hours for no reason it was and could be again a really good game, its fun to play until you start to get to late game and spend alot of time building a base only to have it blown to peices by the chinese clans which come for you with a chinese army of 20 to 30 players and a endless supply of explosives that they duped using game bugs you have no chance to defend against them they wipe your base then move on to the next one, all you have to do is jump in a buggy and drive around the map and look at how many bases have been raided and blown to bits you will struggle to find a base that hasnt been raided by the chinese clans.

  29. Im not fersure but i think derelicts is a one man team. he post on tik tok alot and i really think hes gonna pull a forest where it was such a small team with a huge success. it looks great.

  34. Dysmantle is a fantastic game, but not really a survival game in the same vein as the others on this list.
    Really more a hack’n’slash with a lot of environmental, well, dismantlement.

  37. My dude, RAFT is the most shallow and boring game of all time, there is jack shit to do in the game… You finish it in 4 hours and get everything you need to survive and keep on, there is no goal or reason to continue to play
