Can you do a video on Stripe pls. Love how this channel grown from violin to elite analysis.
Broadcom is also at the (dark) heart of every Raspberry Pi cheap amateur computer board; a PI is not just plain ARM.
Broadcom is so in shadows that i heard it's name for the first time.
Broadcom is operating like underground criminal organisation.
Tbh when you mention 570 billion and less known company, i kinda thought it was TSMC you are talking about.
That guy below me is bald
Broadcom's first truly big 1990s success was to corner the market for DOCSIS 1.0 Cable modem chips. They built a sillicon compiler which made their designs faster and better than anyone in the industry.
I invested in Terayon which made a superior CDMA modem but Broadcom managed to force them to donate their IPR to Docsis 2,0 and they died.
Broadcom sends reps to dozens of standards committee meetings to try to destroy the standards they don't yet make a product for. I opposed Broadcom when I worked for a Qualcomm on the 802.20 standard – later folded into LTE/4G. I was also recording secretary 2009-2011 and wrote minutes on all the shit storms Broadcom created.π’. We barely managed to pass the standard when the Broadcom rep ended up voting too late to disapprove the spec.
I consider Nvidia became first 4 trillion $ company at 2026 .

And future (GPU And NPU Ai ) is in there hands .
Let see who matches Japan's GDP firstπ
Please a video about "sweet baby inc."
I came in like an acquisition ball.
I never bought so much before.
All I wanted was to own your patents.
All you ever did was wreck me.
Company with very bad culture
Donβt blame entire of Broadcom for this predatory behavior itβs the ceo hock tan himself who acts like this. Dont guilt trip the innocent Broadcom engineers who work their lives at the company just becuase of one guy. Broadcom is a great company and unfortunately has a ceo who likes to run the company like heβs apart of the mob.
You have no clue what kind of people work at Broadcom. They may be seen as a bully in the industry leveraging their technology. But the people that work there are some of the hardest working people I got the fortunate opportunity to work with. There are cnbc articles of companies like HP calling Hockβs way of deal making similar to βextortionβ. I completely agree Broadcom may be a bad guy in the industry but thatβs because of one guy. Not the entire company. Broadcom will not crumble inside. why? Because the people working there know how to get stuff done. They been doing it for a decade now. Your best bet is someone replacing Hock Tan which I hope is someone who actually cares about their relationship with the customer, employee and partner. Hock is a greedy clown.
Such cases say a lot about the state of antitrust regulations in the USAβ¦
Great video.
Great video, yet again. Also thanks to the βValerie Ellen Cirboβ suggestion from your recent video was very useful. My portfolio is now well matched for any market condition
Finally well researched and pertinent. Like the SAP review.
Itβs the 8th largest tech company now, since Tesla is imploding.
When Trump and Musk give an early warning, he knows what he is talking about. These dangerous companies are parasites that pay off regulators. The.media are owned by worse entities.
I know broadcom as this company which doesn't want to open anything in their technology. No open-source Linux drivers for routers with broadcom chipset.
Also seems like their vmware acquisition didn't go well. A lot of people are moving away from it.
I wish them to either fail or be more open in their software.
I just know them for the SoC on Raspberry Pi, lol
Most importantly, they make the chips for raspberry pis
Most importantly, they make the chips for raspberry pis
This is massive monopoly within the tech industry. Broadcom needs to be broken up. No one company should have this much control on network devices. Especially if you look at it from a cyber security perspective. FTC needs to get involved and force a break up of their subsidiaries
π Summary of Key Points:
π Broadcom is currently the ninth largest tech company in the world with a market cap of $570 billion. Its stock has outperformed big tech companies like Apple, Microsoft, Google, and Facebook. Broadcom estimates that 99% of all internet traffic passes through at least one of its chips.
π§ Broadcom's history dates back to 1961 when it was a division within HP called HP Associates. It initially focused on inventions such as gallium arsenide Fifi LEDs, LED dot matrix displays, and fiber optic transmitters and receivers. In the early 1990s, Broadcom founders recognized the need for integrated circuits to make the internet work and developed solutions for faster internet connections through cable TV lines.
π Broadcom faced controversy with the options backdating scandal, resulting in the founders stepping away from the company. They settled for $160 million. In the early 2000s, Broadcom acquired Agilent Technologies, leading to the creation of Avago Technologies. Avago then acquired Broadcom in 2015.
π§ Broadcom has been accused of being a patent troll and controlling the entire internet chip market. It has engaged in predatory practices such as predatory contracts and exclusivity arrangements. Broadcom has expanded its monopoly through acquisitions, attempting a hostile takeover of Qualcomm and acquiring companies like CA Technologies and VMware.
π Despite its controversial reputation, Broadcom remains a powerful player in the tech world. Its control over internet chips and expansion into adjacent sectors make it influential. However, some believe that Broadcom's toxic practices may eventually lead to its downfall.

I have a Broadcom esp wifi Β³Β² I adapted it's blessed in gold
X? You mean times?
Linux users understand that Broadcom should be avoided. Itβs bad when your GPU needs a proprietary driver not shipped with the kernel, but when your network card needs a driver, now youβre in a catch 22.
Dude Broadcom owns VmWare which owns the Spring Framework π€―
Wow! I feel old. I remember Broadcom back in the mid-late 90s. I didn't think much about them. They were just helping me get into AOL and the Internet lol
Broadcom's real name is Vanguard so no surprises as they own everything. Nvidia is also Vangaurd. Google is also Vangaurd. Apple is also Vangaurd.
Bro your voice gives me peace for some reason π
I know broadcom as the manufacturer of wifi module.
Time to uninstall vmware, glad I didn't pay for the pro.
