The 2024 Game Awards are SO CONTROVERSIAL

We have no E3 anymore but the 2024 Game Awards is around the corner and some of the nominees are…interesting to say the least. Will GOTY go to DLC? Will Astro Bot beat Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree? Why am I not seeing more Dragon Ball Sparking Zero!?

Let me know in the comments what are your nominations for the Game Awards 2024. What is YOUR game of the year?

  1. I kinda understand why Baltro got nominated. It is literally the most played Steam Deck game now by far. To the point a lot of people jokingly call Steam Decks, Baltro Machines. That much traction and staying power within a year is insane. So I'm not really annoyed about Baltro. BUT HELLDIVERS BRO LIKE COME ON

  2. Literally played HD2 for the first time since the PSN Incident a month ago and it’s safe to say it lost my support. Anytime anyone wants to play it I now have to uninstall another game and reinstall it. This alone is enough to make it not worth the effort for me because I’ve got games installed that I’m actually enjoying and trying to finish.

  3. Because Destiny 2 is peak co op game 10 years later.
People can be mad about SotE all they want but when a $40 dlc has more content and replayability than every other game it's running against combined.

  4. DLC should not be eligible for “Game of the year”. That should be an exclusive category for full game releases that released that year. IE “GAME” of the year. But there’s enough expansions every year that a DLC category should exist on its own to specifically highlight these expansions.
