I’m still extremely unhappy and disappointed with just about everything in 2023’s Truck Series championship race, and I’m laying …

  1. I was at this race in person, spending the weekend at Phoenix for all the championship races. You think people watching on TV were getting upset, you had no idea how restless the fans in the stands were getting. Just embarrassing for the sport

  2. The fact some people even defend the playoffs format or the current nascar leadership clearly shows who doesn't know a damn thing about real racing and just wants pack racing crashes constant cautions and mickey mouse champion entertainment and the fact people also make the claims the manufactures want low hp in cup these days is also bullshit to i am more than certain manufactures are inclined to more hp but nascar doesn't wanna open up and admit that they do steve phelps and all of current nascar leadership is a fail to this sport and worst of all the biggest dicksucker of the current ignorant leadership online john haas will literally be a dick to you if you choose to be a fan of actual racing over entertainment and mickey mouse bs I'm getting so tired of him online and of the current nascar leadership in real life i wish all of them would just go away honestly

  3. I think this race just comes to show how really stupid this format is, Ben Rhodes did nothing other than win 1 race he was essentially the least deserving driver and only won bc Heim threw a fit which I'd be pissed if I were him too but I wouldn't go full on Jeff Gordon 2012 affecting the race. The fact Steve Phelps praised this format says something.

  4. I absolutely hate the current NASCAR Playoffs. It is the only motor sport in the world that has this kind of gimmick — and it is a gimmick. NASCAR has been guilty of affecting race outcomes with phantom cautions, and that directly affects competitiveness. Hell, Carl Edwards left NASCAR because of a phantom caution that intetionally bunched up the field when he had a commanding lead for the chapionship. Why compete in NASCAR when it's rigged like Professional Wrestling? NASCAR may not know who will win when they do their phantom cautions, but it definitely screws over whoever has worked hardest to gain the lead at the point of the phantom caution. NASCAR is on its last leg with me. I'm gravitating to Indy Car, F1, and sports car racing.

  5. That truck series finale described everything wrong with the lower series' now as well as the "drivers" coming up. It's only a matter of time until Xfinity becomes the truck series… Come to think of it, the whole championship weekend was a disaster.

  6. Can’t convince me Hocevar wasn’t acting on the in car cam he is one of the most aware drivers when it comes to the tv and cameras recording him and for me it was obvious immediately during the race

  7. I'm sure after the State of the Sport conference earlier that day, that was where I think everyone gave Steve Phelps the big F you.

Steve Phelps has done some good things to NASCAR like bringing North Wilksboro back, racing on the streets of Chicago, now bring the Cup Series to Iowa, etc. But he's done more bad then good. He's honestly like a Gordon Ramsay Kitchen Nightmares chef (If anyone's heard of that show.) Where he's being stubborn and doesn't like to admit that he's wrong. At this point I still think it's time for the drivers, teams, and fans to stand up to NASCAR and tell them to either fix the sport or they'll either go on strike or not come back at all.

  8. I've been able to overlook a lot of stuff I don't like about nascar because it's my favorite sport to watch. But I can't get over this disaster of a race. As of right now I'm refusing to watch this series until the quality steps back up big time.

  9. It's entertainment over actual racing now… it's been that way since the playoff system was added. It sucks, but it's the way nascar has leaned and I don't think there's anything we can do to stop it unfortunately
