  1. The four Mo Donegal Nest Skippylongstocking and We The People are way ahead of the rest of the crop Epicenter and Early voting will be great too While I was watching the Belmont I was thinking what if there weren't so many horses in the Kentucky Derby and Mo Donegal had a way to the front I'm not a fan of the 20 horse field nor allowing an unknown in as filler , I was for Mo Donegal Zandon or Epicenter , Rich Strike had an impressive run yet those questions while always be there The Belmont proved what horses have the endurance

  3. I've watched this over and over. Most satisfying Belmont Stakes I've watched in a very long time. Have been rooting for Mo for a long time! He had his day and I'm so glad it was this day! Nest did a heckuva job, too! You go, girl!

  4. What messed up Rich Strike was not running in the Preakness. The break was too long. You don't pull an athlete at his peak when he's just starting to win. He would've won the Preakness and that would've set him up perfect for this race.

  5. Just like in the Oaks, Nest with no running room until after entering the stretch. Mo Donegal got the jump on her. That and the start could have cost her the race if not a much closer second.

  6. Nest, the filly, had stumbled at the start and was cut off. Considering her record (she recently won the Coaching Club American Oaks, grade 1, on 7/23/22 [over Secret Oath]. The grade 1 Alabama, on 8/20/22 [also over Secret Oath]. And, managed to win against older fillies in the Beldame S. on 10/9/22. All in a row, might I add.) she would've beaten Mo Donegal if she had gotten a better start. He's already retired, four wins, one fifth, and two thirds. She's still going, and heading toward the Breeders Cup Distaff (hoping for four in a row.) Never got anything worse than third.
