The $167,000,000 Production of MEG 2

Who doesn’t like a DUMB summer blockbuster that you go in knowing you’re going to just have fun? Meg 2: The TRENCH promises to do just that as a followup to the first movie The Meg. But its story of making it to the big screen actually is a long and fascinating process from 1996-2023 and the entire production put into the most expensive shark movie ever made.

  1. Welp one day I want to remake or do something different after I become a director
I feel like going for the books original science fiction horror vib and theme would be something cool to try and do especially since I'm a big fan of steve altens work and the two Jurassic park books
And I love the vib and themes of those two books

  2. Jason Statham is perfect in these movies. He has all the attributes of the hero type and he loves the water. Being an Olympic high diver for Uk years back. But his greatest asset is his regular guy disguise that appeals to both men and women. Very much like the young Bruce Willis had way back when. The proverbial non hero…hero. Great casting choice and cannot wait for Meg 2 when he gets to " shut up Meg " again. (Couldn't help myself)

  3. The stupidity of most shark movies make my brain hurt. The Meg is off the scales bad. So freaking lame. It just gives me the creeps that people still watch this kind of stuff. My faith in humanity definitely lost a few points from that.

  4. These movies are fucking stupid and i don’t know why big studios give so much money to something as stupid as these. there is absolutely no way this movie will make anything close to what the first one made

  5. FV: making a full blown video on how Meg 1,2 was made and how ambitious the project was!!

Audience: let’s watch Meg, its a silly mindless popcorn flick☠️

  6. Very solid video dude! Don't know if you do requests, but if you want an interesting production history, check out the production for The Croods 2. It's honestly a miracle it came out
