  2. NO! NO! NO! GEOFFREY OF MOJOPLAYS! YOU IDIOT! I KNEW THAT YOU'RE RUSHING THIS LIST BECAUSE OF THE RECENT ANNOUNCEMENT OF CASTLEVANIA DOMINUS COLLECTION! WHY PUT LORDS OF SHADOWS 1 WHEN IT WAS ONE OF THE MOST CONTROVERSIAL ENTRY OF THE FRANCHISE LEADING IT'S SEQUELS TO KILL THE FRANCHISE!? WE ALL HATED THE PLOT TWIST OF BELMONT TURNING TO DRACULA WHICH IS ONE OF THE MAJOR CONTRIBUTING REASONS WHY THERE HASN'T BEEN A BRAND NEW CASTLEVANIA GAME THAT'S NOT HAUNTED CASTLE REVISITING! IT'S ONE OF THE WORST REBOOTS EVER! ALL THE MORE REASON WHY I PUT A DISLIKE THERE! SHOULD'VE JUST REPLACE LORDS OF SHADOWS 1 IN FAVOR OF HARMONY OF DISSONANCE EVEN WITH IT'S MEDIOCRE SOUNDTRACK THAT NOT EVEN ADVANCE COLLECTION FIXED IT! HELL, WHY NOT PORTRAIT OF RUIN INSTEAD!? HAS DOMINUS COLLECTION FIXED IT'S OPTIMIZATION OF THE ORIGINAL YET!? EVEN RONDO OF BLOOD & IT'S PSP REMAKE IS CONSIDERED MISSING THERE! GEOFFREY OF MOJOPLAYS, YOU IDIOT! WHY CARE ABOUT LORDS OF SHADOWS 1 OVER RONDO OF BLOOD, LAMENT OF INNOCENCE, HARMONY OF DISSONANCE, OR PORTRAIT OF RUIN! THIS PROVE THAT YOU'RE NOT A PERFECT CASTLEVANIA FAN! NOT DID IT MATTER TO ME SINCE I'VE ALREADY BEEN SPOILED BY BLOODSTAINED CURSE OF THE MOON SERIES & BEEN SO DISAPPOINTED BY RITUAL OF THE NIGHT SWITCH VERSION SO HARD THAT I LOST CARE ABOUT ANYTHING RELATED TO CASTLEVANIA! NOT WITHOUT A BRAND NEW SOTN-STYLED GAME!

  3. I love Castlevania as a series, and respect Konami for the masterpieces they (mostly used to) put out. I do however believe Konami are marketing idiots when it comes to this beloved franchise. I will never ever ever understand for the life of me why; as Ive been saying for many years, they didnt choose to port SOtN to PC – I legit believe they dont care about making millions and millions of dollars. And now, with the release of The Dominus Collection; a collection which shouldve come out years ago, imo, for Sony users, they chose to make it PS5 exclusive, while the og CV Collection and Advance Collection are on PS4, there's NO reason they shouldnt have made Dominus Collection cross-console…because its not one console exclusive, its released on multiple platforms!
Its like how FF7 Remake was on PS4 and PS5, but FF7 Rebirth was PS5 exclusive. Well, why not make BOTH parts PS5 exclusive? THAT game (both parts) wouldve made SENSE as a PS5 exclusive to help promote the console's on-growing/lacking library. But I digress, thinking companies give a shit about their fans, its an easy mistake to make.

As for Konami bringing back CV, again, this is cool and all…but we shouldve got this years ago, like, shortly after the Advance Collection, why they waited on this one is beyond me.
I want Konami to bring CV back, in a big way with a brand new title at least. Their next sensible move would be to either re-release Harmony of Despair, or make a Harmony of Despair 2; which I think could work really well, learning from the mistakes of the og.

Other than that, CV is a series thats made even better in the hands of fans with games like Migami's excellent The Lecarde Chronicles series, as well as their upcoming Chronicles of the Wolf game, and ofcourse, the amazing looking spoof, The Transylvania Adventure of Simon Quest, and thats naming an extremely miniscule amount in the vast ocean of CV fan/inspired games. Thats my view (tmv)~

  4. A good list! From those that are not mentioned, I personally would've included Curse of Darkness (a very underappreciated 3Dvania with a nice familiar-levelling system, memorable characters and amazing soundtrack), Portrait of Ruin (another DS Castlevania and here we can swap between two playable characters at will) and Rondo of Blood (one of the classic style Castlevanias which I think is way better than the NES ones).
