What a stupid trend. It was already good before chopping, the chopped ingredients are just a gimmick. It does nothing but make it look less appetizing.
Ham is one of my favorite meats. We always have it around Easter and I absolutely LOVE it!
In a restaurant setting, could all the ingredients not be chopped in bulk and kept refrigerated like a coleslaw or chicken salad would be, not made 1 sandwich at a time? Also dry age in bacon grease experiment…
It reminds me of the German Fleischsalat sandwiches I grew up on.
I don't love ham, but I do like it. What I do love though is Deli turkey. For mine, there's gonna be some of that in there 100%!

For fast food, they'd have a bulk batch chopped up already.
I've been doing this for at least 20 years. The reason to do it is so you can make many sandwiches. The longer it sits in the fridge the better it will get

IS it normal in America to have some knock-off parmesan? The way Guga talks about it being the real stuff, makes me think there are other versions, but all I've ever seen in Europe is Parmigiano Reggiano.

Chopped Sandwiches are Basicslly a extra Meat chopped Salad on A Roll…now A chopped cheese..thats a whole different story, its basicslly a chopped cheeseburger on a hamburger bun/bakery roll.
