  1. There is also another detail to Zoro.
He only pulls out Kuina's white sword when it is time to get serious.
And he ALWAYS puts Kuina's sword in his mouth because that way no matter what, even if he loses both his arms… This sword…

He will drop only when he will lose his head.

  2. the live action doesn’t really give context but kuina got those ideas of her inferiority to men from eavesdropping on her father (who is the sensei) talking about how kuina won’t be the best fighter forever because she’s a girl, even though in the anime she literally wins against the adults of the dojo on a daily basis.

  3. I dunno if this has already been said but if it hasn’t, it should have been, for your guys sake 😂 all devil fruit users (the fruit luffy eats in ep 1) can’t swim and if they’re in water will sink, it’s not that that’s luffy’s weakness 🙌🏻😂

  4. Don't listen to the "falling down the stairs was japanese culture speak for suicide."
No it's not and never was.
That is simply anime fans making up japanese culture to fit the narrative they want.
    Life happened.
It really bothers me because this is how stereotypes are started.

  5. i can now say garps full name is Monkey D Garp and yes he is for sure luffy's grandpa… i wont say luffy's dads name yet or what he is doing but he might be shown in later seasons

  6. Here's some clarification for things that were changed or weren't explained:

    – As others have said Kuina fell down the stairs and died in an accident
    – it wasnt mentioned but the Sensei was actually Kuina's father which is why he shed a tear when he told Zoro about her death. That's also why Zoro had to ask him for permission to take her sword because the Wado Ichimonji is their family's sword.
    – And as a side note fun fact: the reveal that Garp is Luffy's grandfather actually wasnt revealed in the anime until the early 300s (the live action only goes up to episode 45 in terms of content). I think they brought that reveal to this part of the story so that people who have never seen it before like you guys can experience the same bomb drop we all got in the manga or anime. It definitely makes things more interesting so I really like how they handled that change. The fact that they brought Garp in this early is also really cool (he wasnt actually revealed as a character until around episode 68 in the anime).

  7. This isn't fleshed out in the live action and can even be missed in the manga but Kuro killed everyone on a marine ship except for 1. He then had his 1st mate hypnotize the marine into thinking he captured Captain Kuro and hypnotized someone else to think he isCaptain Kuro. The no name marine was then promoted for capturing such a famous pirate. He was promoted to captain. Captain Morgan. And it explains so much in retrospect. How insecure and vain he was. He was literally a nobody grunt that rocketed to fame overnight all so Kuro could lay on the down low.

  8. The full context is she fell down the stairs looking for a wetstone for the Wado Ichimonji the white hilted sword. Her body is shown in the anime. She did over hear her father talking about her being a girl and wont be able to be the best around forever the night of their duel and she repeats most of it to Zoro after their duel, which some thought that ment her father wanted to off her or her dreams and focus on Zoro, but Zoro saying she is his goal silenced those thoughts in her head. Her father goes on to explain Zoro appearing had checked her ego and inspired her to train harder. So longer sus.

  9. The panda head is an Easter Egg referencing Pandaman a character in the manga who shows up randomly in the background of panels especially in crowd scene. Sorta like a “where’s Waldo”. Oda won a character design contest with Pandaman when he was younger

  10. So one thing to note about Zoro. He has a terrible sense of direction. Like the worst. They hinted to this in the last episode where he called the house a maze and couldn't find the kitchen. Now he went the wrong way to get to the house.

  11. they won't lose the boat immediately so you won't be mad 🙂 but when they do lose the going merry it's gonna be time to bring out a tissue box, heck i got teary eyed seeing them set off on this ship just thinking about all the awesome adventures and memories they're gonna make with it
