Thai driver turns himself in after initially fleeing school bus blaze that killed 23

The 48-year-old driver of a school bus that burst into flames on the outskirts of Thailand’s capital has been slapped with four charges, after turning himself in to police. The accident left at least 20 people dead β€” mostly students who were on a field trip. The driver told police that his bus was travelling at 70-80kmh when it suddenly lost balance. He said he lost control of the vehicle, crashing into another car before hitting a concrete barrier, causing sparks that ignited the blaze. He said he rushed to grab a fire extinguisher from another coach, but ran away in shock after failing to put out the blaze.

  4. This bus had 11 gas tanks onboard while only 6 is allowed. Modified illegally and also placed right next to the door to exit and close to wheel of the bus. The fire spread so quick within minutes that hard to get out. Also emergency door on top floor could not open.
The other busses from this company were called on for inspection but they missed their appointment. They found out that they go take out the extra installed gas tanks at an unofficial garage. The emergency door on those other busses also cannot be opened. So no ethical standard from owner of this bus company.

  5. I have a class B and I always look at the water pressure as I drive and temperature gauge. All mirrors . I remember the bus was running hot I immediately turned the bus off and got the kids off of the bus I stood on the bus and double checked to make sure all kids were off of the bus. Then I got off last. It's the rules on the United States we have to at least try . We r trained that people who r on the bus are our family they r not strangers they r our kids and our relatives and I luv my kids and family very much. We r brainwashed to be this way Later after I got all the kids off of the bus the teacher who stood outside asked me to start the bus and move it my boss called and ordered me to. I didnt I ignored them. Eventually another bus driver moved the bus to the side til the mechanic came to change the filter. I asked a which caused it to run hot. I shed some tears for these babies I'm sorry they r gone they r so cute and inoscent I'm sorry this happened I send my condolences .a
