“Things That Accompany Salvation”
Hebrews 6:9-20

There are some signs that accompany salvation.
You don’t achieve salvation, but there are some signs that accompany salvation. —Faith alone saves but faith that is alone is not saving faith.

1) Having Faith In God. (v.10a)
saving faith will always produce good works. Ephes.2:8-10

(v.10b) This is having a Love for God. Rom.8:28

2) Being On Fire For God.(v.11)

3) Being Faithful To God. (v.11); Heb.3,6; Heb.3:14

4) Having Fatigue Towards God.(v.12)
Can’t be a lazy Christian.

5) Being A Follower Of God.(v.12)
He wants us to imitate those who display faith & patience.

—What happens when you have faith & patience?
faith & patience causes you to receive from God..

Faith & Patience.
—Faith—believing God.
—Patience—waiting on God.

Follow. The importance of having friends in the faith.
ICorin.4:16; IThes.1:6,7; Heb.13:7

The Illustration Of Abraham.(v.13)
In Genes.12 GOD made a promise to Abraham.
Abraham was 75 years old..

In Gen.21 we see the promise fulfilled.

Abraham was 100years old.
Sarah was 90–But, they waited on God.
25 years..God did what he said.

(v.15) He may not come when you want him to but he is always on time!

God’s promises. (v.16,17)
God’s person. (v.18)
God’s presence. (v.18b)

—Then, in (v.19) He talks about this hope..
All through the Bible he talks about this Hope.
*Col.1:27 .*ITimo.1:1 Titus 1:2 .
Rom.5:2,5 Rom.12:12 Rom.15:13
Ephes.1:18 Col.1:23,27 IPet.1:3 IPet.1:13
Titus 2:13 Ipet.1:21 1Pet.3:15 Heb.7:19
What a Hope we have!

The Interpretation Of The Anchor.(v.19)
Hope is like an anchor. The Anchor is Jesus.
(v.19) This Anchor is sure & stedfast.
It has been said a person can live 70days without food
10 days without water, 6 days without air but not one second without hope.

(v.20) Just as John the Baptist was a forerunner,
Jesus is a forerunner.
Not only is Jesus a preacher—Jesus is our Savior
