Teyvat: King Irmin's Great Lie | Genshin Impact Theory

The history of the Khaenri’ahns and their research into Forbidden Knowledge is something that has puzzled me since patch 3.1 in Sumeru. After all, Khaenri’ah is a nation located beneath Sumeru and their King, Irmin, shares the same name with the heart of Teyvat’s Ley Line System, Irminsul… Which is also located in Sumeru.

We have come to learn a lot of valuable information during the Fontaine patch cycle and from what I have gathered, it appears that the “Gods” that destroyed Khaenri’ah might have been much closer to home than one would’ve first imagined.

What if I told you that Irmin is the Primordial One?
My search has led me to an unexpected turn of events. Perhaps the Gods of Celestia, were once Khaenri’ahns who embraced powers… From beyond Teyvat.

Thanks for watching!

  1. Believe it or not, there is still more that I haven't talked about or covered completely in this video. I could have gone over a few other details with Rhinedottir but I will save those for a different time. At any rate, in Part 2 we will be talking about "Dreams" a lot which is why that video involves Kaeya, Layla, and Paimon. It will be interesting, to say the least.

I will leave notes and additional information below as I find them

    – Siegfried (the third cycle of The Ring of Nibelung) is also the name of Kiana's father, Siegfried Kaslana.

    – Fischl's Domain in the Golden Apple Archipelago limited-time event has a crack in the sky akin to the ones from Neuvillette's teaser and the Dream Realm of Jakob Ingold. Also similar to the one which the All-Devouring Narwhal (which is a Star Beast) makes.

    – The protagonist of the Legend of Saha, known as Misei Nana Tsuki, became the archetypal model for some of Hoyoverse’s biggest characters including but not limited to Aether, Kiana Kaslana, Kallen Kaslana, Qiqi, March 7th, Durandal, Theresa, Raiden Mei, Himeko Murata, Kevin Kaslana, Nahida, Rukkhadevata, Lumine, Paimon, Makoto, Robin, Beelzebul, Marius von Hagen, Cecilia Schariac, Siegfried Kaslana and the list goes on and on.

    – Weiyang mentions how during her time with her father, the Celestial Emperor, she was in charge of conducting trials and sentencing at the end. This runs in tandem with how Ereshkigal and Ishtar’s brother, Utu, also known as Shamash by the Akkadians, was the God of the Sun that could see everything that happened in the world every day and was therefore responsible for justice and protection of travellers and was thusly dubbed as the Divine Judge.

    – Laevatain, the Sword of Mir and Khan the Asura, is said to have been the sword that burnt the world asunder during the war of the Gods. This is convenient because the sword in the context of Fontaine refers to the Traveler. The Traveler is said to be a monster and a calamity by the Black Serpent Knights and the Melusine Canotila calls him a Beast that will devour the world in a single bite. This description should be consistent with Nibelung and his sword (Third Descender).

    – Otto could be Dain rather than Irmin, but that's a different topic.

  2. We know otto was no stranger to messing with the imaginary tree so wouldn't it be funny if either him or void archives(as him) somehow ended up in Teyvat, becoming the first decender. It seems like they reserved the void archives thing for star rail lore though so i don't think its likely at all but i do wonder if they are going to add any direct honkai impact references at some point.

  3. Ugh. These "everyone is really everyone else" theories give me a huge headache. I'm pretty sure somewhere in there it said Dainsleif = Oz = 3rd Descender. The last two or perhaps ten minutes have a lot of that stuff and might be clearer than the other 62 minutes.

  4. I was too focused on "In a distant causality, if the philosopher 'Zarathustra' was not chosen, then the 'opera writer' would have gained victory in the contest over the will of the world"
Nietzsche was Wagner's Bestfriend until they wasn't.
the will of the world, I mean Nietzsche always talks about will. The will of Power. the Ubermesch, the Transcendence of human. Also what it needs to be a 'Descender'? yes the WILL.
also remember Nietzsche most quoted quote? "God is dead, we kill him blablabla", i
ll stop editing my comment and let it be like this.
I'm sorry I just enjoying the easter egg.

also there are soo many nietzsche and wagner influence in this game just like how jung and freud in any eastern pop culture media.

  5. So if I were to attempt to explain all this to a 3rd party – or myself – I guess the crux of all this is that,
    * the PO is BOTH the Abyss AND Celestia and demiurge / false god
    * while Nibelung is the true god and dragons are the angels.

This (if I have that right) seems problematic because,
    * Abyss and Celestia are fighting each other
    * Seelies are depicted as angels in various ways, not dragons
    * PO is generally pitched as the good god that likes humans, whereas the dragons are at best disinterested in humans
    * it's hard to pitch PO as a Noah figure and simultaneously a Whore of Babylon figure

  6. I'm asking this because I'm interested: could you tell me the source that you found that said that Aphrodite/Venus was the ancestor of King Arthur? I've heard a lot of re-tellings of the story of King Arthur and I don't think I've ever heard of this concept to his story before. I'm actually writing a re-telling of King Arthur's romance with Guinevere, so I'm interested in any new information I can find to add to the lore of my own story.

  7. I don’t know if you mentioned it but it occurred to me as a bit of a haha funny thought when you were talking about Neuvillette’s “forgiveness”— the conversion of the PS water to real blood might be some sort of water to wine analogy, which sounds farfetched

  8. This man has basically created a movie about a theory… I've already seen it twice and I'm here for a third because Wow.

Something that I would like to add to the topic of the mother of the night and the primordial is something that is mentioned in a book called veras melancholy.

The first is that in the story, the protagonist ends up meeting a knight from a space empire, who goes through the universe hunting space beings, throwing one of them through a portal through which the universe could be observed, similar to how Skirk did with the narwhal.

The second thing is that eventually the protagonist meets the princess of the stellar empire, there it is mentioned that her father, the emperor, owns many worlds, one of them being a world where he left his servants in charge, and then went to sleep. leaving the princess watching over the empire.

The third thing is that the book mentions the Oracle of Delphos (the one in our world) as well as a place found in Enkanomiya as the home of the protagonist.

Finally, it is mentioned that the author of the book, who is anonymous, has not released the last chapter.

That book, along with those mentioned in the video, have been there since day one of the game, which seemed to make no sense at that point, but seeing how the story of the game itself has progressed, each day they seem to have more relevance.

  9. Thanks for video and huge work on it, but i dont think Irmin is PO, dragons are angels and Nibelung is Monad.
Despite the great work invested, video is a complete mix of everything and is at the level where the statement that cucumbers are green = all fruits that are green are cucumbers.
First of all PO created world and humans long before Khaenriah was establish. Irmin was the last king of Khaenriah not the only one. I can sense that Khanreah and Irmin can have something with Deshret and Nabu Malikata. From there is star of Ishtar and forbidden knowledge. Beside for some reason we still dont know, how Dehred and Nabu Malikata looks like. I think it is done with purposes to hide from us similarities with somebody in game.
Nibelung cant be Monad because Nibelung do not create world or anything else. Nibelung was native to original Teyvat. He didn't position himself as some god, but king of dragons. Monad was creator of Sophia, who was creator of Demiurge aka PO. If Nibelung is Monad, that he is grandfather of PO aka Irmin, therefore Irmin is dragon? Then who is Sophia?
Dagons cant be angels because angels was emissary of PO, but dragons was enemies of PO.
I don't think that the authors of the Genshen story went in such thickets and mixing all in the world together, where you can not only break a leg, but also dislocate your mind. It is not for nothing to say that the simplest explanation is the most correct.

  10. I used to be under the impression that King Irmin made some sort of deal with Nibelung in the dragon's final moments and that was maybe part of the reason why Irmin was lowkey worshipped by the Khaenri'ahns, because he merged with Nibelung?? so in that sense Nibelung & Irmin would both be the Monad—- but watching this vid definitely made me doubt that! I;m not entirely convinced et though. Irmin being the Primordial One= Celestia= Demiurge was not on my list 😆. this was a fascinating video!! so much to digest and mull over, i will be rewatching everyday until part 2 is released! I still have so many questions about Kaeya, Dainsleif and the ring— if Dain had the ring right after the events of the Cataclysm, where is it now?? Did a certain eyepatch wearing thief/pirate steal it? 🧐

  11. This… This is too confusing.
I am also one of those who ends up "opening parentheses inside of parentheses inside of square brackets" while explaining complex stuff, but this video takes it to another level – introducing concepts upon concepts while not developing ANYTHING in order to "save it for later", while going at it at a neck-breaking pace. Please consider redoing this one as a series or something, where you introduce each aspect or important point of interest to it's full scope before introducing something new in another video and finally building upon everything on your conclusions.

  12. please enlighten me to how the Genshin timeline doesn't make any sense or is messy? I've heard several people claim that but myself never really found to have issues understanding the order of events.

  13. quick correction on aeneas: he’s a roman character— he was a minor character in the iliad, but that was about it before that. he was written as the first hero of rome and an ancestor of romulus and remus

below is a random ramble about vergil and the aeneid because i’m a nerd

vergil was a prominent poet in rome, and the aeneid was inspired by the iliad and odyssey. it was commissioned by the emperor at the time (augustus i think) to make rome look really cool basically. this is not to downplay the talent vergil had because he was an incredible writer but basically it was a commissioned fanfic that was like. really good

i recommend it, vergil has amazing imagery and despite him writing it as an epic poem it’s very much a narrative. i’m studying ancient history and cultures as one of my minors in college and i find vergil’s writing to be some of the best. and catullus and caesar’s writings are really entertaining like i was laughing so hard

    but i’m getting off track

    tldr aeneas is roman

  14. Bowl rhymes with Roll lmao. You pronounced it like Bowel, which are your guts/intestines AKA shit tubes lol. I heard you say "the seven bowels" and had to rewind haha. Just figured I'd let you know. Correcting pronunciation makes you an asshole but finding out someone has been letting you mispronounce something for years makes them an asshole, so its a dilemma. Just figured I should tell you.

  15. When you mention an alien star beast CHOOSING King Irmin and turning him into the Magnum Opus…
Which is colored red to signify Rubedo…

King Deshret is often referred to as the Scarlet King or the Red-Crowned King… And the word "Deshret" is specifically an Egyptian word for "red one" referring to the red crown of lower Egypt.

….Now I'm wondering if King Deshret was also King Irmin.

I've been thinking for a LONG TIME that King Deshret must have been the Third Descender and the Sinner both, and I still like that theory best, but it's an interesting idea to consider.
