Texas Mom's Boyfriend CHARGED After Body Staged at Dock | Giselle Tapia Salazar, League City

On May 31st, 2024, A 30-year old mother of four’s body was found hanging from a dock, partially submerged in water, with her arm in an unusual position in League City, Texas, along Davis road at the marina. Giselle Tapia-Salazar’s death was originally thought to be her own decision, but investigators ruled her death a homicide.

Her body was discovered by her neighbor, Christian Allen, who immediately noticed that one of her arms was in an unusual position. League City Police Lieutenant Eric Cox said, “Because of the position of her arm, we believe she probably passed away somewhere else. Rigor mortis set in and then when she was moved, her arms stayed in that position”. UPDATE: Her boyfriend, James Hart was arrested and charged with tampering or fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair a human corpse.

“Detectives are requesting anyone with information regarding the case, who wishes to remain anonymous, to contact Galveston County Crime Stoppers at 409-763-TIPS (8477),” LCPD said on Facebook. “Information leading to an arrest or conviction could result in a cash reward of up to $5,000.”

  2. I live in League City, TX. This story has shaken our community. It is so macabre. We have a beautiful community with so much to do and see. We are located close to Galveston TX with a lot of marinas. Unfortunately, there is a small segment of broken down boats (as evidenced by this man’s boat) housing people with addiction in that particular marina. I am shocked that there were no witnesses, unless they are afraid to come forward. There are condominiums that face the marina and so many residents who live on their boats.

  3. Unless hes telling the truth. Because if he killed her she wouldnt be in the position she is !! And they are going to say she didnt die from strangulation… I mean honestly just because he does drugs and he may have staged it… WhT if he found her when he went to the bathroom and then staged it cuz he waS scared. Also maybehe thought someone wlse would have a camera and they canw atch them… There should be more than his!!

  5. Wow I was looking thru your lives, for a replay, while painting, on the AB trial. I wanted to hear some of states wits again. The pop here this live is. Just like AB’s trial & case, I’ve never heard of this one before. I bet they got him w tampering and now trying to see if this was homicide of accidental OD & he just, what? If HE found her dead why not call 911? Unless he gave her the drugs that killed her.
Okay I’ll shut up and listen. I love your mapping and bullet points and deep dives. But especially love when I find you doing a trail I’ve never heard of, like AB’s trial. I thought the state’s office had enough evidence to prove premed on AB but those two lady prosecutors…. They didn’t present that case well. Idk if they couldn’t present the entire story, the evidence that was at the SYG hearing or pretrial motion suppressing AB’s obvious behaviors. But if she does 15-30 yrs, closer to 30, justice was done but why do parents take away themselves too? If you’re that ….. to easily murder the father of your child? IMHO she never bonded w that child. If she had she would throw herself in front of a bus to stave harm from that child. Now that little girl will have a tragic life. 💔it’s the kids as collateral damage that break my heart. And Florida is the place to live if U want to get away w murder imo. If ur smart & diabolical

  6. Wait, they live on a boat. Boats have heads. Aka bathrooms. So why leave the boat unless it was a busted boat. Marinas have public BR’s but that’s a long walk for live aboards. Trust me. They put the live aboards, the poor ones, all the way out, as far away as they can from public use b/c these kinds of boats they don’t want seen on pretty piers. If you have the $$ to live aboard & pay for electric & water, it’s not cheap. But all marinas have a section where ppl w a boat can “live” either w all the bells & whistles or not. The “nots” are way away from main docks.

  7. I deliver boats up and down the east coast. I see these live aboards all the time. Scary sections of certain marinas. Oh boy the stories I have on marinas.😳 you would be shocked. It sounds like paradise but… in Key West there is a houseboat marina “slum” no joke.we were to temporarily park a boat there. We had to call the owner, after we arrived & had to tell them they got the wrong marina…..

  8. From the first interview he looks to be living on the “wrong side of tracks” side of marina. You’d be surprised not all marinas are safe. Just like towns & cities, marinas are the same. Wealthy piers/fingers w gates. Pubic fingers, and fingers off the end, near & behind marina buildings & gas docks, etc, “hidden away” where marinas will rent, for 1500.00 or more, for crappy slips. Happening to campgrounds now too. You can AirBnB your boat now too as an apt for rent.

  9. Yeah look at rails on his boat. It’s like a junk yard. And U can see, left side of pix, the back of a building. Probably a bait shop or dive bar. Where there is a dive bar at a marina, you have “dock rats” as they are called. Lots of things go missing and found on a boat like his.💔 as a sailboat deliverer…. I see the best and worse of these communities.
20:34 yep sketchy marina. Older. Probably was nice at one time until something happened. A bridge built, making bigger boat not possible to get to any longer. Or the marina needed income & started “renting slips by the month” instead of by the foot. 💔 I love marina life. So many beautiful ones, but mega yachts changed all that for these smaller marinas. Now normal size ones have gone under unless they rent by the month & let ppl like this move in. Drug dealers don’t just “own” corners on streets or neighborhoods. They can “own” an entire pier of a marina💔

  10. I bet lividity tells a better story than rigor. If she dies face down, her lividity would be on her front. If she hung herself in water, the lividity would be based on how she was in the water

  11. Umm the camera. Boom. Done & dusted. Come on. Check federal website. In Texas, felons can’t carry guns. DYH his DOB & full name? Sounds like he had her drugged up & kept. They took a shower but don’t have a head? Okay. Nope.

  12. DYK name of boat? I can check my registry & see where he register it. He doesn’t have a Texas accent. It’s not a sailboat so no training required. He might have a captain’s license, but doubt it unless he worked the boats down there. He could be a fisherman, shrimper? But boats’ names have to be registered for marine traffic & taxes. Lots of ways t track him or it
