  1. "Because you got to remember, Texas is the number one state for road fatalities in the country" WHICH PROVES THE INSPECTIONS DO NOT WORK IN PREVENTING ANYTHING!!!!!!!
This auto shop owner just wants mandatory inspections to keep making profits off everyone!

  2. Okay lets make a example. You get a inspection in January. It passes. Your brake light goes out on march. How does a yearly inspection do anything? Lmao. You'd notice way before.

  3. Safety inspections take many unsafe vehicles off the road until they are fixed. I fail to see how that's not worth the time and money to find out your tires are bald or your brake lights don't work. What's next – eliminate the liability insurance requirement?

  4. The "mechanics" doing these inspections are incompetent anyways. I brought a 72 plymouth in and they failed it for the ABS not operating. 😳🤔 ABS didnt exist in those cars.🙄 Took it across the street to another shop and they passed it and were just as surprised by the other shops lack of knowledge.

  5. So basically this mechanic is saying: "Please dont pass this bill because i dont want to lose money. I dont care that Texans are suffering financially as long as Im ok." Sir, if you cant garner customers without government assistance, you should go out of business.

  6. It doesn't matter if they keep car inspections. Do people not realize how many car inspection places actually sell inspection stickers. My car didn't pass inspection 11yrs ago & i just pay an extra $50 & my car is legal.

  7. Even if you drive an old clunker, better get uninsured/underinsured coverage if you don't already have it. Someone with bald tires are worn-out brakes – that's all it takes. 5.5% more fatalities might include your entire family. 🥀
