Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown Review

Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown reviewed by Luke Reilly on PC. Also available on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.

โ€œTest Drive Unlimited Solar Crown is far and away the most ambitious driving game that developer KT Racing has ever put together, but itโ€™s plagued with problems. Forced online requirements that feel needlessly punitive towards solo players, inconsistent and non-adjustable AI difficulty levels, a stale car list, and chore-like progression all conspire to undermine an otherwise robust driving model and eye-catching open world. The former home of the WRC series has come out swinging with Solar Crown, but unfortunately the studio may have flown a little too close to the sun.โ€

  1. If IGN give this game a 5 (witch IGN is the MOST generous reviewers on the PLANET) it definitely means this game is a pile of crap.
For the young generation this game is great, it has nice graphics and look you can open windows and and the sound changes when you have the windows down(this feature was available in TDU (2006) nearly 20 years ago) and you have a virtual and modern eye lens and so on, but for the rest of the world this game is BAD.
And this polite review thing must stop because it is one of the reasons the devs don't take it serious when they fail.
They make a bad game they should be punished with a horrible review.

  2. Agreed, at the heart of it, the driving itself, the world and the roads is actually very good and there's a good foundation here for their vision. It's just held back with bugs, strange decisions, tons of content missing that are "coming one day" (who knows when that is), and the modern video game classic: just flat out being unfinished, but releasing anyway because they were tired of putting any more time and money into it
