  1. "Stupid people, Children and Stupid Children"… I'm dying laughing. So true! I watch the pumpers and I have to keep reminding myself: "This is not a skit… these are REAL people!" πŸ€¦β€β™‚πŸ€¦β€β™‚ These people absolutely melt my head!

  2. Musks humanoid bot promise is eerily similar to his infamous promise of producing full self driving cars by 2018 (I think stated in 2014). FSD Teslas are still not available, and IMO the technology will likely never be approved by the government. The main issue is that it's such an enormous technical challenge to replicate a humans capabilities, even in situations so basic as driving a car. The software/sensors would need to be capable of dealing with an infinite number of driving scenarios and conditions in a safe manner. FSD will likely find a limited nitch where it's approved for use. The same is true for the Tesla bot…… Musk will discover it's impossible to create a humanoid-type bot that can SAFELY function in an infinite number of scenarios, especially when the bot is in close proximity to a human. It's a technological bridge too far. Both FSD cars and humanoid bots will find limited markets where they are approved for use. But these realities will never be discussed in the social media "Musk Hype Community" which has grown to be a major force in keeping Musk afloat and the TSLA share price elevated. Most people love the hype…….and I. too, fall victim to some of it since I'm a big dreamer. It's not easy to envision beyond the stars whilst keeping your feet on the ground.

  4. I know several people with significant ADD. They often get excited about a project (ex. such as building a fence). They are excited in the beginning (Dopamine rush) but lose interest soon after and starts looking for the next project (ex. Fixing my old car in the garage, writing a book etc.,). These are the types of people that are attracted to Musk and his ever changing "Revolutionary" projects. People like me, you and your followers will think: "Hey! What happened to 'Starlink' or 'Hyperloop' or 'living on Mars' or _________ (fill in the blank)?" But his followers don't look in the past because this next Big Idea (aka Scam) is even better! And the cycle continues!
    – As far as the robot, Like @kennyfordham6208 pointed out. They even used a jump-cut when showing the egg. I guarantee it can't make a clean transfer from one hand to the other without dropping it.

  5. Musk comes out of the VC industry. He markets and operates his businesses like a VC firm. He over promises and continues to make promises to raise funds from investors, drive sales growth, the same way a VC firm hypes their successes, new technologies, etc.. VC's try to identify the next big product or service, exploit the creators, workforce to make profits. Many have the blitz scaling approach, grow customers at losses until you are a market leader, then maybe make a profit. Some of Musk's startups are founded by others, the rest were ideas already out there that Musk saw potential and can raise funds, putting together startup businesses. Musk is not coming up with nor creating the technologies, he is financing these ideas like VC firms do.

  6. The world is built for humans which is why you would build a robot in this form. The Tesla factory is already filled with specialized robots, but is you want to replace the remaining human workers then you need a robot with the same capabilities. If they can build millions of vehicles why not millions of humanoid robots?

  7. I think the philosophical question is what are people good for once we have actual FSD cars, AI that can do anything a person can do and robots that will be able to satisfy any human need 😜???

  8. As a 3D & VFX artist, I can tell you: Most of the "demonstrations" in the latest presentation video regarding this Teslabot are faked. Only the one where it walks around in a jittery, unstable way is real, all the others have movements and reflection panels that are not consistent with the actuators or the materials used for this bot, but are very consistent with the given Raytracing algorithms of the usual 3D render packages (Interestingly: I have a hard time to discern if top of the line deep fakes are indeed deep fakes – but I recognize the markers of a 3D animation when I see it, because I do animations like that on a daily basis myself for 23 years now).

Is anyone seriously believing Tesla could do in two years, what Boston Dynamics mastered 15 years ago (over a span of 20 more years to get there)?

Also, without an apropriate near sophont (which means: Human-level) AI, this whole robot thing is useless. If it can not use the human form to its full potential, because it lacks the "brains" to do that, then this is just pointless.
