My thoughts on the IRS agent topic. We have a progressive tax code in the US which means the more money you make, the more tax brackets apply to you and the more you pay on amounts in each bracket. Most people are not making enough to reach the higher brackets but if they do they are well off. People with extraordinarily high incomes are also great at avoiding paying the taxes from the high tax brackets. These new IRS agents are predicted to recover billions in skirted taxes by the wealthy. This is helping us pay for the many wonderful benefits in the Inflation Reduction Act. We should understand this full context, that those who can afford higher taxes will pay more but for wonderful things like solar and EV credits. This is where I think Elon's more center right political philosophy really falls down and loses the plot. I love the guy and so much of what he talks about but often shake my head at the takes on government.

Computers won't get distracted by sipping/spilling coffee, drinking alcohol, checking makeup, rubbernecking, talking on the phone, texting, arguing with passengers, fishing for whatever rolled into the footwell of the passenger seat, or ogling pedestrians while in city traffic. Computers WILL adjust the radio station or find a gas station or burger joint on the map app, but the CPU will not be notably impaired even for the millisecond of attention the task might demand. Our CPUs between our ears will be impaired by such trivialities for the next century or so. (Neurolink's cybernetic enhancement might catch up by then) So don't tell me how dangerous autonomous driving is. We have new drivers coming on the roads every day that are horrifyingly dangerous and FSD is already safer then them 99% of the time and climbing.
