  1. There is one key location where Rivian has chargers and Tesla does not: Yosemite Valley.
It's virtually impossible to road trip around Yosemite in a Tesla without using another charging network
But the Rivian chargers there are free (though they're destination chargers), so thank you Rivian!

  2. One question about your sponsor – can't a thief just steal the cam, along with the incriminating footage? I see no mention of ability to stream or upload. OTOH I haven't seen any dashcam that does.

  3. Many nice features in the holiday update, however the most important basic and also security relevant missing feature has still not been addressed. Searching waypoints along the route is a good step into the right direction, but it still does not allow for:
    – searching for charing stations along the route (with a filter for only Supercharger) and be able to add and remove select stations with ease
    – adding a new waypoint in a logical order along the planned route, instead of stupidly putting them always at the 1st position even if it is the furthest away of all.
The right order could be automatically determined by an easy heuristic: take the distance of the waypoints from your current location and put them in order. If the distances between them are dozens / hundreds of km it will just work fine. If they are close to each other, one might need to adjust the order manually.
A better, but more compute intense heuristik would be to minimize the aggregated distance or time when touching down on all waypoints in different orders.
This basic navigation feature is missing badly and it is also a security relevant issue, since it unnecessarily forces the driver to rearrange the order of the waypoints preventing him from paying attention to the road. But hey, we have new games… 😂

  4. Wow this channel has become no better than all the other political sway channels, enough with the flashing up of "evidence" packing to make a point. Seriously I thought this would all stop after the election.

  5. When you guys fall into conspiracy, like with the judge, especially espousing strong opinions on stuff you don’t understand, it erodes my trust, which was quite high. You act like judges are kings. Her job is just to interpret and apply the law, in the scope of the case. Note I’m not saying she isn’t seriously biased or that she’s correct but she didn’t bring the case and she can’t do stuff like throw it out because of a new shareholder vote. Her objections as to the way the first vote was conducted are, arguably, valid, from a very narrow legal perspective (mostly just because case-law is all zero-sum negotiations, so Teslas approach doesn’t fit with it).

In summary, you’re expressing a lot of emotion and speculation while ignoring the details of the case and the validity of her ruling, which is not the objective reporting I expect from this channel.

And it appears you also falsely accused the current NASA admin of not being an astronaut… Please don’t throw out your higher brain function like Elon does when he wades into politics.

  6. How many people will be cut off in these Cybercabs while people are sleeping just because someone is sleeping and someone sees this wants to be a jerk? Maybe quite a few at first?

  7. These two are here to make money for themselves. I have been a subscriber for a long time, they kept recommending junk stocks like FUV n also brought people from those companies for interviews n claims that they have done their research and all. I watch electrified n tesla space for tesla news (after Rob @ TeslaDaily not doing daily videos anymore).

  8. I think the Suntrain idea might be a good idea because there is so much in flux, we might not know where power will be required for years to come. Eg. currently electricity used for refineries or pumping oil won't be required in X?? years. It would be a waste to upgrade a wire network to/from these areas. the trains could be used until the energy disrutpion is near complete and we know where demand ultimately resides. One guys opinion.

  9. As a Tesla shareholder, the purchaser of two Tesla vehicles, and a (formerly) strong supporter of Elon Musk, I think it's high time that those of us who have been on this bus since the beginning take a hard look at the current reality.

With regard to Musk' stock incentives, I voted in favor of maintaining them, not because I though the judge was incorrect in her assertion that the Tesla board is anything but independent, but because I wanted to help Musk. Heck, I even bought a new car at the end of Q3 specifically to help Tesla with the quarter.

Would I vote in favor of this package today? No. And I think a whole lot of others who were formerly supporting Musk wouldn't either. Basically, Musk either changed his mind of has played a whole bunch of people for a long time. The judge is absolutely right in her assessment that the relationship between Musk and the Board is not arms-length. The fact that Musk staged a meaningless vote is neither here nor there.

The bigger issue that I think you 2 guys need to come to grips with is that while Tesla is a great company, and needs to survive and thrive, Elon Musk is doing Tesla no favors at this time. In fact, as a direct result of his completely inappropriate transition to co-president of the US, be cannot be CEO of Tesla any longer. He has single handedly done more to reduce demand for Tesla vehicles than any of Tesla's competitors. And the numbers back this up. Tesla's market share is falling quickly while its margins are shrinking quickly. Would an independent Board tolerate this? No. Musk needs to go the way of Carlos Tavares…and soon.

    Time to move on.

  11. Good decision imo. Poor Elon, my heart bleeds for him. I used to really respect you guys back in the day. Nowdays your all about grabbing as much of the green stuff as possible. You have sold your social conscience to worship at the altar of the god old mighty $.
