  1. Fantastic to see but shouldn’t Tesla fix the Auto Pilot software first ? Our MYLR drives like Miss Daisy even on the motorways (freeways) plus it often fails to recognise there are two lanes on the dual carriageways jumps all over the place if a car is parked which we have to go past, often fails to offer me an overtaking / return to lane box.
Essentially paid for something thats barely useable and yet they will soon be offering FSD here in the UK (well in a few years anyway) who’s going to buy FSD when the existing stuff just does not work ?. Love the MY, great car but I invested in AP as I’m an old driver wanting something that would enhance safety for both me, my passengers and other road users, right now I just don’t trust AP so why would I trust FSD ?. We have something called the Sale of Goods Act here in the UK ‘goods must be suitable for the purpose for which they were purchased’ I can see lots of claims in the future as drivers realise the software just isn’t up to snuff.
Bit like Apple sending out phones with bugs expecting the users to identify the issues then Apple fixes them, thing is with an iPhone nobody dies if fails to work properly unlike with AP and FSD.
When I was training to become a marine radio officer at college I had to pass one exam SOLAS, safety of life at sea, the minimum pass mark was 100% AP and FSD should have the same pass mark, there are no second chances at 70MPH on a busy road in the rain.

  2. Thanks for the video. I just got the 2023 model Y long range but do not have FSD at this time. Really enjoy the vehicle. I have not tried the basic auto pilot yet, but soon I will.

Still watching many FSD tester videos to see how it going with each update you get. You know more about if the latest FSD and how much it has improved over past versions.

We are just observers and just get an idea how well it performs, so I don't say any critical things about FSD. I am amazed what it can do right now and as time goes on and data collected from each of you, FSD will continue to get better. When it will reach level 4 or 5 remains to be seen, but they will get there sometime in the future.

    Take care.

  3. A lot of places do not have lane lines, and some places have lane lines only in the summer warm months. Snowfall and Downpour rain, more inaccuracies ? Still, loved this video, and it does show the advances that have been made. I am a TCP SUV Limo Driver, drive a and 2021 Suburban Premier. I use Android Auto with my Samsung Phones, Google Maps. The Software does tell me " Keep Eyes on the Road , Don't text and Drive" and other things. Other time I was driving from Sacramento back to Marin County late at night with very little autos on the road. I drove FAST. The next morning, on my screen , " Your recent speed was excessive. Slow Down" – which caught me – but now, I think these systems are making me a better driver! For me to make me consider an Electric vehicle is the ability to have an large EV, three rows of seats, and buy 2 of them, so one is always charging. 400 miles range ( not 325 ) is needed. Thanks for your video.

  4. Thanks for the video. Very interesting.
Do not drive in Paris France! The computer will be overwhelmed 😉😊 (scooters and motorcycle between lanes, car, trucks, bicycle, electric scooter, pedestrian and so on… 😅 )
    Greetings from France

  5. 13:20…. "huh" "that wasn't good"…. as the "vastly improved autopilot" dives into oncoming traffic and the driver is forced to pull it back….

Just admit it, "almost perfect" equals dead in a moving car with falulty AI.

  6. thats a beaty weather drive come on challenge the system ..the real live is a challange .not a pamper soft ride….
….when the cameras is hit by rain or is simple sweat wet the drive goes slow or ends by instant . .
the software solution cant handle camera only drive cant handle traffic sign cant handle digital signs and is doomed to fail in some ,…no in alot of situations ….
for training the allgorythm and the system the human eye only aproach is a good idea in the first place and cheaper but the decision from the software brain ends unhuman or in a weird behavior as
    when a child is driving…
Thats why Mercedes is the one of few cars that drive legal autonomous in the US in stage 3 ….

  7. So why is your car not constantly reminding you to put your hands on the wheel? I have FSD for over a year never kicked off and my car consistently reminds me to put my hands on the steering wheel so what are you doing differently

  8. I would like to see tests of FSD in NY or more complex areas of Los Angeles. I live in LA, and FSD is constantly making bad lane choices. One example is some streets have parking in the right lane for certain hours of the day, but FSD disregards this and will sometimes choose the right lane when there are parked cars in its chosen driving path. Other times, FSD doesn't have the best awareness of left/right turn only lanes. I think FSD works well in some situations, but needs a TON of improvement in more complex situations.

  9. How's the full auto handling night driving these days? Or extended drive legs into the morning sun? I assume there is a high dependency on the cameras' imputs. Obviously certain driving conditions can impede or practically eliminate those inputs.

  10. Generally curious why your Tesla never asks you to touch the wheel… mine always does it. Less when I wear sun glasses but still asks me…

The keeping speed to mesh with flow of traffic will be awesome. I hate when I’m in a 40 and it changes to 25 when there is a car behind me and it shows down super fast!

  11. Part of the general awareness issue of the progress of FSD is that a Tesla in full self driving mode looks just like every other Tesla on the road. It does not look like any other autonomous vehicle with LiDAR and lots of external equipment. I am tempted to get car magnet signs that say, “Full self driving vehicle in training” just a point out the fact that my car is actually driving itself most of the time.
