What was meant to be a thrilling experience at the annual Chestival fair, hosted by the University of Chester, turned into a harrowing ordeal for attendees. On March 27, the ‘Superstar’ fairground ride broke apart – sending debris hurtling through the air and leaving two people hospitalised, including a student who suffered a concussion and whiplash. Footage of the nightmare incident, captured on video by a horrified attendee, shows a large panel breaking free of the fast-moving ride in Chester, Cheshire. The popular Superstar ride, dubbed a thrilling ‘whirlwind at super speed,’ collided at The University of Chester’s Exton Park Campus, sending debris flying through the air. In a scene of chaos, the impact sent shattered glass flying in multiple directions – with adrenaline seekers fleeing for their lives.

  1. Why isn't there an operator there to stop the ride? What would have happened if people were falling off the ride instead of metal, would they have just let the ride complete? lol

  2. There are so many questions that pop up while and after seeing this.
Usually the powercables of these machines are on the floor in public sight, i wonder why nobody pulled it out.
I wonder about wether this was not done because of reasons im not aware of.
