What was meant to be a thrilling experience at the annual Chestival fair, hosted by the University of Chester, turned into a harrowing ordeal for attendees. On March 27, the ‘Superstar’ fairground ride broke apart – sending debris hurtling through the air and leaving two people hospitalised, including a student who suffered a concussion and whiplash. Footage of the nightmare incident, captured on video by a horrified attendee, shows a large panel breaking free of the fast-moving ride in Chester, Cheshire. The popular Superstar ride, dubbed a thrilling ‘whirlwind at super speed,’ collided at The University of Chester’s Exton Park Campus, sending debris flying through the air. In a scene of chaos, the impact sent shattered glass flying in multiple directions – with adrenaline seekers fleeing for their lives.

LMAOOOOOOO
Slinging bodies
Nope
I have absolutely no sympathy for anyone who allow themselves or their offspring to climb into one of these "unalive" traps.
Never get on these things. 😮
Embrace the horror lol
russian hackers
How about turn it off!!!..
ghetto and nappyheaded
Only people without mechanical inclinations would ride this. Just look at the design. You could not pay me enough to get on that.
what a horror show another example of declining standards
How did it end??
seems like a thirdworld country.Where is this?
Where's the 'hand car wash' ?
You would think they would turn it off! But then, that's why they find themselves working at a carnival.
These stupid toys must be banned
Why isn't there an operator there to stop the ride? What would have happened if people were falling off the ride instead of metal, would they have just let the ride complete? lol
So no one is going to stop the ride?
Don't they know how to push a emergency stop button FFS!
But they didn't want to get sued for not giving a complete ride to the rest of the people
I think those riders got the adrenaline rush of a lifetime
They wanted a Thrill Ride and they got it😢
Can we all just agree that people who like these type of rides are stupid to begin with???
They just gave the fact that the guy is dead why don’t they help him
Where's the operator?
Operator: but did you die?
they paid for adrenaline rush. they got this
AND NO ONE CARES IN ENGLAND.
It's still a safe ride
The fact that it kept going is proof the parts that flew off were unnecessary… Probably just some decorative pieces that came in the box.
Sadly . . . the whole British empire is falling apart. ðŸ¤
They got their money’s worth.
thanks to the camerawoman for filming the ground.
There are so many questions that pop up while and after seeing this.
Usually the powercables of these machines are on the floor in public sight, i wonder why nobody pulled it out.
I wonder about wether this was not done because of reasons im not aware of.
After I worked in IT and I saw how projects are managed and also how important to make it cheaper especially in industries like mining I'm no longer taking the risk
Totally thought those were people flying off 😳😳
Okay we had
American & there nonsense 😂😂
Lieutenant Dan was the operator with a smile.
WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY did the ride operators NOT stop it as soon as parts fell off??!!
somebody forgot to tighten that bolt. Crazy
If feel bad for those poeple who got hit by that thing
But the operator told me …
"It tends to run 6% better ,
WITHOUT THAT PIECE"
Did no one turn this damn thing off out of fear for themselves or just to see who gets to fly off ? 4/16/2024
