I enjoyed the book Memories of a Space Journey that gives a good guide to anybody for visiting Mars.
It's the most unusual scifi boook ever, but it's a lot of fun to read and very educational too.
A work that everyone should read for helping to save the earth from its current desertification.
How probable/hard is it to discover aluminum deposits on Mars? Because this proposal to terraforming sounds very interesting (mostly because of how quickly the effects up can be achieved)
Would Venus not be a better target? Albeit with reflecting dust rather than greenhouse dust?

I think when it comes to finding life in space the real problem is when it exsited or will exsit not where that makes it so hard to find
I think it would be a better idea to explore the surface of Mars before any terraforming – just in case there's fossilized evidence of previous inhabitants of Mars. There was obviously water there at some point, I'd be curious as to how life develops on a planet with lower gravity than earth

How did Mars deteriorate? If it was an earth-like environment, how better to kill the entire planet than bombing it with Chlorine? As you pointed out, chlorine kills everything!
I hope the surface will be thoroughly explored as well as beneath the surface in case there is any life we may inadvertently destroy.
If you ever encounter microbial life on Mars, rather than thinking about "preserving etc." , you would probably like to escape, fast.

Well then, why not trial this on the Moon first?
Someone years ago came up with spreading black carbon on the polar caps to speed meting to release water vapor into the atmosphere to help warm warm Mars. Personally I would smack it with a series of meteorites. This will give us practice of meteorite diversion and control and help warm Mars through large kinetic impacts, but it might also cool it more with all the dust in the atmosphere, but hitting it with large rocks would be awesome!

Here is the thingy. I am as fascinated by the idea to terraform a planet as much as the next guy. But it is really way more quicker, cheaper and feasable to construct giant spaces stations to live on. We should really start with that instead of starting a 1,000 year project to terraform mars. Because if we really want to this is something to pull of in a few decades.
Interesting concept, but actually that a single small operation producing this on earth could raise the whole earths surface temperature by degrees C in months is super concerning… Like basically any country could hold the earth hostage with this, couldnt they?
Can anyone explain, in simple terms, why the sun could almost totally strip the atmosphere from Mars, but Venus still has a super thick atmosphere,? Is it all because of the size difference? Was the atmosphere of Venus even denser in the past? Does Venus have a magnetosphere? Is Venis' thick atmosphere a more recent event than the loss of Mars' atmosphere?

Honestly, I love this Idea, because I can see it protecting the Atmosphere by taking most of the nearby gas kinetic energy, so it will not fly off… give it a mild electrimagnetic emement, And it could even capture solar wind.
I know it's a hare-brained connection, but the microaluminum dust is kinda similar to the atmospheric gold dust the supposed 'Annunaki' were mythologically described as having made to protect their atmosphere from cosmic rays. Just thought it's interesting that we're dabbling in tech that people considered extraterrestrial scifi just 10 years ago.
So is the idea to use this as a sort of ttigger, and then the atmosphere would run without them?

Terraforming Mars is expensive, and mostly stupid.
Let's imagine, we've made it. Atmosphere can be altered, gravity not. We cannot give a magnet field to Mars either. So because of a lack of a magnetic field, solar flares will again blow the new atmosphere off Mars, because their is not enough gravity to hold it either.

I took chemistry class in highschool. Martian dust is most iron oxide, A.K.A. rust, right? I've seen what happens when you have a looot of iron oxide and a looot of aluminum (particularly in powered form) mixed together with an ignition source…like say, a really big spark (Dust storms on Mars are known to produce dry lightning through static friction between the dust particles.) What's to stop this all from turning a Martian dust storm into a giant thermite inferno?
The study (Feasibility of keeping Mars warm with nanoparticles) focuses entirely on the physical properties of the nanoparticles and how it would affect the Mars climate, without any mention of the hazards to human life, much less any other animal. How long would those aluminum nanoparticles exist and be effective? Wouldn't want to seed Mars with a dangerous forever chemical. What's the use of warming Mars to 30C if the introduced nanoparticles are lethal to humans? What would make those Aluminum nano-rods any less dangerous than the jagged particles of silica that cause silicosis? You got to be really, really clear about all the unintended consequences before messing with an entire planet.

There is new drone technology which can plant almost any type of tree on earth with the use of drones and a self drilling robot made out of oak, I wonder if something like that might help reach those extreme and dangerous places humans may not be able too.
