I like Judith, Bannerjee I find incredibly contemptible. Did you ever finish that Servants game? Humanity's fate is surprisingly good, we kinda make the hydra into our puppets it's amusing.
the board has decided that the investment and growth of the eurasian union has led to the proper size. it is time for a return on investment (there must be never less than 2 pips of spoils in the eurasian union)
Would there be any benefit to space fleet composition variety? Two dedicated point defence ships? For every damage dealer? I’m assuming the cost outweigh the benefits? I haven’t made it that far in my own run yet though.
Can you counteract missiles with missiles in this game? Like in The Expanse, target their missiles with yours? And can you retarget them mid-flight (which is a separate thing)?
Anyway, watching this game kinda makes me wanna play it, but I know I wouldn't have the dedication to learn all the geopolitical (sol-political?) strategy mechanics. I'd love a nice realistic-ish space battle commander simulator though.
I don’t like the tech cap rules … I think that you should be a “fast following” corporation like most … so if the patent has expired (someone has had the tech for 10 years) or you can obtain the tech by stealing IP or “government contracts” where DARPA or equivalent have given you the blueprints then it should be fair game … however you shouldn’t be doing and research on anything that is bleeding tech or investing enough to control what is being researched. The tech rule is breaking me emersion on this run.
Hahs. I love it – a solid tactical move by the protectorate. Taking solid advantage of the situation is such an improvement. I'm holding off on another playthrough for now, but love seeing how much improvement seems to have been made to the AI.
Idk about house rules, I feel like people make up too many of them and without any RP connection.
So I suggest to modify "no welfare" one to "welfare can only be equal to spoils OR lower then economy investment". While Initiative as "organisation"(which it isn't) would benefit most from spoils, they're people, who stayed in power by knowing when to take the foot off the pedal. Plus it's never specified that the members of the Initiative are somehow exempt from having a helping hand in all the contracts that imply said GDP growths.
House Rule Idea – Burned by the protectorate betrayal and the fact that the protectorate have a larger ship than us, the board requires that a battleship be built and maintained that is superior to any other individual vessel in earth orbit. Thanks for the series Perun its really enjoyable to watch!
So I got over the hate cap and the aliens started attacking my space stations. They kept sending one or two small ships against my layered defence hubs. I got almost 50 exotics until their main fleet finally showed up lol .
Forgive me for saying this, but it is SO entertaining watching you get aggravated at the AI betrayal after being so used to your calm and collected self during all your other gameplay and presentations.
Make sure your compensation plan puts them in debt for the rest of their LIVES
Board rule idea, members of the board have recently invested in several (insert weapon group here) production companies, from now on the board would like at all ships to include at least one such weapon
What the Protectorate did is unacceptable, if someone creates a debt you get the bailiffs to cease some of their property and sell it to get back loss's. Unlawful destruction of property requires a hostile takeover at this point I think
I'm enjoying this series so much, I reinstalled the game and intend to give learning it another go. Anyway, any chance of dominions 6 some time in the future? I realize there are only so many hours in a day.
I find the protectorate much harder to deal with than the servants because at least the servants are predictable. I was recently playing exodus when they sent several nuke equiped ships against my mercury bases while my fleet was at ceres.
Mhh, it seems the experimental branch might have some tweaking issues with the AI aggressiveness as some people have been reporting that they don't send assault carriers or do it too late. The very newest version that just dropped (0.3.127) makes them very aggressive instead.
EDIT: I also don't understand how you don't get attacked on Mars and Mercury. In my game the aliens are retaliating everywhere. Not just on Earth
I dont think loyalty monitor reduces max loyalty. I give it to all my councilors and they've got 23-25 loyalty. Could possibly be mods messing with it but im only using a few unification/federation mods.
I'd love a dlc that let's you play the Hydra.. assuming they could tweak it so it's still a challenge – perhaps the bigger threat is dealing with the demands of Hydra Command than the invasion itself.
could you do tutorials on nations buildings , habs and stations builds, best tech to rush, best corps, best strategies in each parts of the campain and hate cap?
Nice to see that they actually reached the point where human on human space battles are actually a thing that can happen. That alone makes the earlier engines look a lot more valuable to actually get.
Next video will be RT while I stew on the fact I lost ships to…that.
But it won't be long before TI continues

49:25 too bad the game doesn't model ship debris.
Space tourism sounds like a lucrative deal. We may want to dedicate a platform or two to this venture. Maybe one on Mercury and Mars.

I have been reliably informed that that Phoebe event is a reference to The Expanse. Apparently something happens if you go there.
It's not our job to help our rivals liquidate toxic assets to no benefit for us.

I see Britain, I see France, I see the Servant's ___________.
Are you playing any dominions 6?
The board feels that due to recent employee mental health incidents that employees should now have cybernetic data loss prevention augmentations.

Scorched earth policy against the protectorate, there will be no PR campaign.
Utilising the pherocytes for corporate profit. I wonder whether they'll deploy it against the aliens, or humanity… Either or could be profitable!
"i think we're going to try mind-controlling the hydra"
<laughs in person who's played the initiative>
58:46 what happened to your exotics? In September of last year, you had 33 now down to 28 in April 2032. You can't be building with them. Selling?
The protectorate learning their battleship fueling tactics from ww2 japan i see – lets build a big ship. liek BIG. no, bigger. BIGGEr
what about fuel? stop with your negative thinking!
Pherocyte Mastery is a prerequisite for Megafauna Mastery.
I can not wait for the post mortem of this playthrough via power point presentation that we are accustomed to watching every Sunday.

Request that a battleships class be named the "IRS enforcer"
28:31 Oh you are shedding? Shedding and farting?
I will now explain this crappy joke:
Shedding sounds like shidding which is what u do on the toilet, farting is also what is done on the toilet.
6:00 The most unrealistic moment of this game so far: 1st Guards Tank Army still exists.
Board rule idea, members of the board have recently invested in several (insert weapon group here) production companies, from now on the board would like at all ships to include at least one such weapon
"You have caused Confusion and Delay"
-Chairman Soren van Wyk to Commissioner Kiran Banerjee in a leaked correspondence.
Using the British Army to subjugate Ireland? HOW DARE YOU!
Aliens or no, uncool!
of all the anti-alien factions, the Initiative are the only ones playing the long game
Perun, your free Guinness privileges have been revoked for sending the British Army into Ireland 😂
What the Protectorate did is unacceptable, if someone creates a debt you get the bailiffs to cease some of their property and sell it to get back loss's. Unlawful destruction of property requires a hostile takeover at this point I think
I feel like the board of directors would require CIWS on future ships due to the costs of losses
How did he combine EU and Eurasian unions? I thought you could only take what you had claims on?
Perun: Soren wants to mindcontrol the aliens!
Me: Pretty sure Soren wants to mindcontrol humanity…

Take away from this episode: don't betray Perun under any circumstance or else you risk getting nuked from Emutopia
