Tension with China: USS Nimitz (CVN-68) Aircraft Carriers Maneuver in the South China Sea.
US Navy and Marine Corps are holding joint combat exercises involving aircraft carriers in the South China Sea. This maneuver was carried out on Saturday last week when tensions with China heated up over the shooting of a Beijing spy balloon in the sky over America. The US Navy’s Japan-based 7th Fleet said on Sunday that the USS Nimitz aircraft carrier and its strike group, as well as the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit had conducted integrated expeditionary strike force operations in the South China Sea.
