breeding sucks almost got perfect tem but due to not enough fert i cant, gave away my luma's to someone and uninstalling the game now.

I 100% Believe the Melee being strong against Gems is a nod to the Test your Might mini game from old Mortal Kombat games lol
I think the reason melee is strong against crystal is simply cause crystals are(usually) easily broken from hard strikes or heavy pressure. More of a physical force type of thing instead of martial arts.
just a fun fact about Ice. Ice is a crystal and crystals are rocks so ice is a rock
Really enjoying this game when I get a minute to play it every once in a while. Started back up some Pokémon games after I started on Temtem and it made me see how much I appreciate the lack of RNG in Temtem battling.
You have no idea how badly pokemon instincts screw me over.

Here’s my thought process for crystal type: crystals are sometimes used in balancing chi because different gems are thought to have different powers. Crystal is strong to electric type because it can harness that energy as power. Same with mental, it absorbs the psychic energy making it useless.
Mental is weak to digital because its more about mind manipulation. Digital is more like a robot that doesnt have a mind to control
