Man, TDU2 was so packed full of features, it's amazing that even more were planned! BTW, I was wondering how and when you got introduced to the TDU series, Alex?
For me, I discovered it on a shelf in a game shop when I was 10 in 2013, thought: "Eh, might be a decent NFS clone", and was blown away! To this day, not a single other game has given me that feeling of exploration and achievement!
I miss TDU2, those were some good days. I wish the game got the support it truly needed..

There was a third island planned for a map expansion, but that fell through as the scope of the game ballooned.

I have a theory:
Treasure Island Airport is supposed to be an abandoned airport on a now deserted fictional island which could be tied to the Exploration Pack. The fact that the island is called Treasure Island could be a reference to the book of the same name written by Robert Louis Stevenson and published in 1881 which includes pirates. So it could be an island in the Caribbeans.
Despite owning Forza Horizon 3, 4 and 5, and The Crew 2, and while they're great games, I still find myself playing TDU2 more often to this day because it's still far more immersive and just better for sinking hours into. Can't wait for Solar Crown!
