Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has asked employees to work in the office for at least three days a week, according to an internal mail shared with employees.

“Senior leaders of TCS have been working from TCS offices for a while now and our customers are also visiting TCS offices… Your respective managers will now roster you to work from the TCS office for at least 3 days in a week,” the company said in the mail. “Adherence to rostering is mandatory and will be tracked… any noncompliance will be taken seriously, and administrative measures may be applied.”

The $25 billion IT company, a part of the Tata Group, confirmed that most of its senior associates already work from their offices or client locations.

Steps to continue WFH at TCS
Your Manager either forced by further management to ask team to come to office or don’t have very good relation with your manager.

One more Scenario can be where project demands or client want everyone to work from ODC which seems like not the case in here as per your question tone.

How can you continue working from Home.

– Prepare a very strong case ( Working mother with few, Parents illness, your health issues, single Mother- husband living far away, etc.) of Working from Home and represent it to senior management and HR and get approved WFH

– Build very good repo with client that he want you to be in the project in any case so you can easily negotiate WFH with leads

– Get release from the team, and find out other project where you have permanent work from home with the help of RMG, getting release is very heavy task – but in your case it can be easy how? you do not go to office keep telling your issue of WFH with reason and keep asking for release whenever you asked for come to office (risk of getting C band will be there)
All this while you keep working as usual, do not give any scope of saying performance getting impacted due to WFH, otherwise it will make a negative impact.

  4. I got a mail from RMG for reporting to office on 4th oct and in that mail they mentioned it is mandatory to report ,
    i'm unallocated till now so you tell me can i go to office or waiting for allocation and then go to office ??
