  1. I like Maven, I think she is one of the more well written characters that have ties to both the Thieves guild and Brotherhood which makes her untouchable in a sense. Her family makes sense given the household they come from. She is probably the more intelligent character in Skyrim because she plays the underworld and politics. No matter who wins the war, she is always in a good position either behind the scenes running Riften or at the helm.

  2. Literally any NPC ever dares to talk shit or give me a look I take as a hint of disrespect
"Well, well. If it isn't your very well modded, but very unlucky day my little friend."

  3. Remember, being essential means you can basically kill her court, and subject her family to basically an eternity of being test subjects for your enchanted weapons, poisons, and spells. They're great practice dummies for your combat skills too

  4. probly THE most evil, cruel, and DESPICABLE woman in all of TES V: Skyrim dude, at least IMHO 😤😡 idk bout you and everybody else here. what's WORSE is we can't seem to do anything to officially stop her in vanilla Skyrim, or at least EXPOSE her true character and corrupt deeds to Jarl Laila.

  5. Everyone here seething because Maven is way stronger and influential than you lot. You literally can't even kill her. What does she have to be afraid of?

  6. Friggin In laws. Always demand stuff from me but never wanna help. Fine, but once I kill Ulfric, I'm making my wife Jarl. Atleast that's a Black Briar I can get behind. And yes I meant like that too. Dragonborn out!

  7. I actually like Maven and the Black Briars as the idea of useful evil allies, but their place in that is so borderline worthless and the inability to opt out of Thieves’ Guild is one of those parts where Skyrim really fails. The fact that you can destroy the Dark Brotherhood but essentially HAVE to join the Thieves’ Guild is really ridiculous.

  8. It's so weird that people honestly concider Maven Black-Briar to be one of the worst people in Skyrim because she's a criminal and rude. The literal sadistic murderers who worship the anchient corpse of a filicidiac woman at the Dark Bortherhood are not a problem. The thieving and extorting thugs of the Thieves Guild aren't either. Maven Black-Briar is not even that bad. What even are her crimes? Sabotage and blackmail? She's not even that much of an asshole, she's just got a no-nonsense attitude. People hate her because the game is telling you to hate her. People don't hate the DB or the TG because the game is telling that they are the good guys.
