About Sierra and Stephen IRL
Hey friends! I’m Sierra Schultzzie and this is my vlog channel with my husband, Stephen. We started vlogging 5 years ago to document planning our wedding and growing together as a young married couple, and the channel has now really become our passion project. We love creating travel vlogs, disneyland vlogs, showing behind the scenes of creating my fashion and lifestyle videos, and all the little ups and downs of our unfiltered, real life. We loved documenting our journey trying to concieve and getting pregnant, are now so happy to be sharing our experience as first time parents to our daughter, Grace.

  1. Most people don't live in close proximity to Disney and will only get to go once or twice in a lifetime. I think that's why you hear people say it's not worth it.

What you're doing is totally worth it! I'd be surprised if Grace doesn't hang on to at least a few memories from these days.

  2. I know that you’re literally her mom but I love how well you understand Grace and make sure she knows she’s being understood and that what she has to say is important!

  3. Aw i just love this vlog. You are an amazing mother. 👏 I take my baby girl who is almost the same age as Grace to places solo as my hubby works away alot. And it is truly special. Watching you take her on such a huge trip warms my heart. Just amazing!!!

  4. I do not mean this as criticism to you because if I could afford Disney more often I would definitely take advantage of it too! But I think when a lot of people say taking a child that young to Disney is a waste, they are the type of people who can only make a Disney trip possibly once in their child’s lifetime. So they want to wait until they can remember it better. At least that is the experience I had and know is true for others too. But like I said, if I could I would definitely go often! I think kids (and adults) can enjoy Disney for various reasons at all different ages!

  5. You are an amazing mom. I am a mom of 4 and I would love if you would talk about MOM Confidence. Being able to take a trip solo with a toddler and how to let go of perfection and embrace the energy and flexibility children give a situation.

  6. If we lived nearby I would definitely take our son to Disney at this age. Also, yes, she statistically won't remember all of it, but my earliest memory is from about that age and its a bad one, so you may as well give her good experiences because she may very well remember them and that way she'll have something happy to look back on!

  7. This was the sweetest and purest thing ever! This was so magical! The only time I went to Disney I was 4 and I remember majority of it. I know she will cherish it the vlogs when she’s older.

After a really tough day, this was the best and happiest thing to watch! I love watching the Disney magic through your guys eyes 💗🎄

  8. Not a waste at all! Disney magic is so special. I just got back from our annual trip with my two girls (5 yrs and 14 months). I absolutely love seeing the parks through their eyes. Even if they won’t remember, I will! ❤❤❤

  9. I have DID, so while my experiences are the result of horrific things, I want to assure you that Gracie will remember. I can consciously remember moments of being a baby, even younger than her. She might not be able to consciously recall these experiences, but the implicit memories will live within her for the rest of her life and inform so much of how she navigates her daily life.

  10. as someone who studies development psychology, I've always disliked the "they're not going to remember it, so why do it?" rhetoric because ages 0-3 are still integral to development regardless of whether the child remembers that stage or not. while grace may not remember her interactions with characters and cast members, she'll always remember your encouragement of her and the undivided attention you give her in those moments and that will set your relationship up to what it will be in the future. these moments are IMPORTANT. I hope you both enjoy them!

  11. I don’t know why, but I really feel like I need to comment and remind you that you are so loved. Remember that, God loves you and sees you so much. Keep going, run to him, he will fulfill your every need.🤍

  12. Just for edification Tush Baby has a program for parents of Disabled kids where you can get a discount and I believe they have an application for a grant where you can get one for free. My daughter wouldn’t be able to use it but I know it’s helpful for a lot of parents who have kids who may not be able to walk long distances but maybe insurance won’t pay for a mobility device or when you’re in areas that aren’t accessible with a mobility device or even for kids who have sensory overload and need to be held.

  13. When my little girl was 18months we took her to a gruffalo world (her absolute favourite thing) so many people told me not to waste my money as she'd forget about it within a week, but it was honestly our favourite trip and totally worth it! 6month on and she still asks to go back and to look at the photos, never underestimate those little minds! While I know they likely will forget at some point they'll never forget how much they were loved and the love they have for their favourite things 🥰

  14. I agree with you Sierra about bringing younger kids to Disneyland/world. My parents waited until I was 12, my little sister 9 and by that time it just wasn’t the same in a sense that I knew the characters weren’t real and my mom still wanted me to take photos with all of them. lol The rides were fun, but now that I’m 30, I honestly don’t really remember much anyway. I have like 2 snippets of memories from my time at Disney world and I was 12, so honestly bring your child at any age! 😂
